This seems fairly straightforward:
Black FOREST gateau
Black DEATH
Black BERRY

For the remaining Sand words I'm less confident. We liked BAR, COMPOUND and SLIP with STRAW and PARK getting a mention each. STRAW is tenuous and PARK would seem to be contra-indicated by BOX being blue (also what does this tell us about the way Superdeath plays Civ? wink). I'd go with BAR or COMPOUND for our +1 as they are first-order links while SLIP is a little more tenuous.

The two words that jumped out on me were BERRY and DEATH.

There is a good case for SCREEN too, as it`s literally black.

Also, we need to catch up on our first clue. I`d go something like BERRY - DEATH - SLIP - SCREEN - COMPOUND.

Pre-spoilers my thinking was BERRY, DEATH, and HELICOPTER (Black Helicopters is a euphemism for covert government actions, the Blackhawk is a well-known helicopter and is featured in the eponymous film, and helicopters are often black in color).

Post-spoilers I like black FOREST more than SCREEN or CONTRACT (I don’t get what Black Contract refers to).

For the Sand +1 I favor Bar over Compound.

We all have Berry and Death in our top-3 so I’ll point to those. I like Berry more but I’ll defer to consensus on the order...

I didn't spot HELICOPTER, it's a pretty good link but as a cake fan and German geography buff I'd go for FOREST before it.

For sand I think our last two words are BAR and COMPOUND, so I don't mind what order we guess them in.

I prefer to guess COMPOUND first over BAR.
I like SCREEN highest as the third black word, but that's because I never heard Black forest before. Is it a popular location?

The Black Forest is a region in...southwestern?...Germany and has some foods and other items named after it.

Old Harry: Forest -> Bar/Compound

sunrise: Forest -> Bar -> Compound

Hesmyrr: Screen -> Compound -> Bar

JR4: Slip -> Screen -> Compound

If that’s a correct accounting for votes we should probably go Compound next. If no one weighs in or objects I’ll point in a bit.

Yes, Schwarzwald (black forest) does make sense. After thinking a bit about our next guess I`d go for SCREEN or FOREST (or SLIP which no one else likes). COMPOUND is fine with me but preferably after guessing one of the previously mentioned words.

I still don`t like BAR.
