Hmm, I would have preferred a more clear-cut word for Compund and Dwarf, like "Fortress". Don't see many other applicable words though except maybe Straw, which makes little sense as a telescope word, unless Dave was thinking of kids pretending straws are telescopes.


Actually, drinking straws are telescopic often due to being contracting. Kind of prefer Straw as one of our guesses.

Alright, I'm 95% on COMPOUND. I think it has the strongest association to Crafting here, and more importantly none of the other we had considered words make any sense at all for Telescope any longer, given that Crafting rules out SCREEN and PARK neatly. A round ago, DaveV thought his clue would be sufficient to end the game, and if our remaining words DWARF+COOK or DWARF+STRAW it's not plausible that we'd get Telescope instead of something fantasy-related. DaveV has played in a bunch of FFH/EitB games here before, after all.

I'd say I'm about 55% COMPOUND, 45% STRAW. Bob, unless you're adamant that it's not COMPOUND, I'd say please choose it.

The first clue went exactly as I hoped; I like to start with a splash to put pressure on the other team in hopes that they'll make a mistake. It worked a little too well in this case.

For the second clue, I was going for THEATER, GHOST, and FOREST. When I visited my relatives as a kid, I enjoyed reading The Phantom comic strip in the Cedar Rapids Gazette. I remembered his tagline being "the ghost of the forest," and hoped someone else was familiar with that hero. It turns out the actual tagline is "the ghost who walks," so oops.

The last two clues were mostly an effort to convince the team that COMPOUND was blue, not red.

i had originally wanted Weapon- 3 for Death, B.A.R. and helicopter. SAND 3, for Egypt, Park, Screen. and Black 2 for Church, Berry.

Blue team then started wanting to possibly clue some of my words, so i figured id get a freebee so i switched it up some. Then i realized that i had completely forgot about SAND-box... and it completely floored me with sand being a Compound... and several other great guesses. Man, that was rough watching lol
