naming theme = STDs (a dozen majors, and about 30 more possibles, should be more than plenty)

Yeah, right, good luck with that . Poor micro and RefSteel are not a natural pairing ...
Have fun with the game.

You need a map to have micro, and he said he was taking sole responsibility for the map, so obviously micro would be his fault as well :P

Starting Screen:
The fog and corner (i.e. non-BFC) tiles might possibly still change, but should actually be at least roughly accurate at this point.
Let me know in the tech thread if the image isn't visible or something. I won't be reading players' threads until I'm finished with the rest of the map: I actually asked a non-civ playing, non-forum member friend randomize the starting images and am posting them without looking at them to be sure knowledge of different players won't influence the way I try to balance things. That's probably more extreme than necessary, but I'll also enjoy the surprise when the map is fully finished and I finally find out which screens are whose!

No matter how many times I roll the mousewheel at the screenshot, it won't change to a standard view, and I've tried at least a dozen times so far.
Clam isn't shareable. (barring an island I can't see).
Wet corn is good.
Dry wheat that I have to give up a cottage to irrigate someday is only ok.
City spot 2e of corn could work 4 cottages for the cap, if there is land there. e-ne only 2.
Looking at civs.
I'm actually thinking NA again (same as 46), but nevermind the superarchers... Sending the totem pole with the settler was nice, and the bonus medic on teh tracker came in handy a few times.
Fast start leader. Joao maybe.

I was simming with the N city one tile south of that dot, as city3. (and I didn't foggaze hard enough, so missed the fact it was a hill)
Of course, there might be fish to orphan on the left coast or something, I'll have to find that out. Could move to the NW plains hill instead.

Fishes, and rocks to pound them flat with when they try to flop out of the net!
And either an island or I'm on the east edge of a bay. (I'm assuming this is pangea-ish).
I should really figure out that camera flying thing.

Cornflakes scout showed up next to mine (on the forest S of the stone). He'd already played the turn, so that puts him no more than 11 tiles from my capital, and probably closer than that.
