Got to be TRACK. TRACK the path of an animal.

The only other word is STICK for STICK to the Path, but I think if you want to clue stick you say branch or twig or something. SO it has to be Track IMO

I can definitely appreciate WK's decision to give us a lot of 2-clues this game, there are a lot of overlapping sets. Well played, team.

I'm amused that our last two words were set up to be TRACK and FIELD, which arguably could've been easier to clue than TRACK individually.

Good game. I guess the last vodka word was COLD?

Sorry, team, I didn't see the strong Cavalry->FIELD connection that everyone else did. Well played by WarriorKnight to leave that roadblock in place until the end.

I was proud of the VET connection: the horses need a VETerinarian, and some of the soldiers may be VETerans. I'm not much of a drinker, so I had no idea whether there is such a thing as Czech vodka, or whether vodka is served cold. I have heard of the Moscow Mule, but fortunately no one went after COPPER.

I think vodka 3 was the right play. It should get you Moscow, Bar, Cold by the 3rd round. I suspected cold from the start. You will hit on mouth for sure, but I didn't think czeck was connected, and even then by the third round you're down to cold so they'll get it.

Then maybe Soldier for vet, charge, train. Cavalry takes you to the field unfortunately. And you clue this second so if they miss they have a shot at the end.

I think the last clue should have been mythological(unlimited) so that you get the easy two and extra guesses if they still miss cold and charge.

Other than the order I don't think you were that far off.

Good job team.

Planning for 4 rounds was obviously the main point of discussion, even if it might have been a bit boring for the team I think was the right play regardless as I couldn't find a good way of finishing in 3 until some red words were cleared (not to mention that with all these 4 clue openings recently that haven't worked, I wanted to try something that didn't hit an enemy word). The risk is that the other team could end the game in 3, but after Gliding went perfectly clearing 2 difficult words (CLIFF, PHOENIX) and red were leaning 2 grey words for Vodka over COLD I thought we had a decent shot. Leaving TRACK & FIELD for last was needed as insurance once I figured out how Dave was going to clue his last word, sure enough that proved to be crucial.

I was more worried about the last clue then any other pair. CHECK & TRAIN being unclued ruined most definitions of TRACK (even OPERA as assassin prevented me from trying a record music definition), whereas the planned Athletics 2 would've been far easier.

Codenames 30 anyone?
