I have to say I can't understand JR4's reasoning here. He's more or less giving this to Mr. Cairo.

I think he doesn't realize that Mr. Cairo's about to win/thinks that SD and webandit are sufficient, and is hoping to preserve his army to pick up the spoils after Cairo is defeated. The perils of cartels/coalitions.
EDIT: I mean that he's been consistently overestimating Cairo's time to victory.

This is baffling to me:
Quote:I`m still not sure if this is enough to stop Mr. Cairo. He`s got a huge army and for now his culture cities are adequately defended. Our contribution probably has to be a few Transports that can tie down some of Mr. Cairo`s troops and hope that Wetbandit is able to break through to the capital or Yokol Haram.
Or...y'now...the big-ass 200 unit army you just pulled back after razing a single border city? Surely you could contribute something material with that?

Double-checked the geography. He probably thinks he's too far away from the nearest culture city (Y'allqaeda) to make a difference. Doesn't explain why he doesn't keep marching to slow Cairo's culture rate by burning cities, or forcing him to defend against a tank breakout, though.

They've been by far the most conservative, risk-averse players all game long, I tend to think that's explanation enough.

This is one hell of an impressive showing from Mr. Cairo...which makes it all the more hilarious that what matters most is him managing the 3-in-4 shot at the artist from his incredibly polluted pool.

Thoughts on what Mr. Cairo is saying in regards to collateral? I think the way it is calculated is totally balanced because of flanking and the huge amount of damage cav can do to siege units. I forget if tanks cause flanking damage though.

Can we do an industrial start era pitboss next? I've played around so little with that stuff, it's just not relevant against the AI.
