Hi,
Just purchased this game (haven't even started it yet) from Steam. I played Master of Magic first time in 1995 or so and would like to make a "test run" of this game, so my question is:
Is there some way to start with unlimited picks of books/skills to check what all do we have in this game to research and test out stuff? If, how? (Obviously "Start the game, save, and edit this file like this" is good enough answer too).
And yes, I'm 100% aware that's not how to play in the long term because everything is too easy and that's cheating and so on and so on.

You can add any spell, retort, mana, gold etc with it.

Just got a "tense" relation with a wizard. But the visible relations are listed as "Hate,Troubled, Restless, Unease, Neutral, Relaxed, Calm, Peaceful, Friendly, Harmony" in the help page. I gave tribute and the relation changed from troubled to tense. Any idea where does "tense" stand? I guess between troubled and restless?

When the AI calculates the strength of a city garrison, does it take into account the unit buffs? Thanks again for all the answers!!

Yes, but only those that increase combat stats.

Aha. Would that include things like Resist Magic, Bless, etc, or only stuff like Lionheart, Endurance, etc?

So in my current game one of the wizards is chaotic something. From the get-go our relation was bad, he went down to restless I think, never had a pact. Then out of the blue he offered an alliance (which I accepted but it didn't last long). Is that part of the chaotic personality? He got into a war with another wizard but they were kinda evenly matched so it's not like he really needed my help or anything...
