Just curious. When you guys comment about time elapsed in the games you play, you mostly refer to it as turn x, turn y, etc. Why not as year x, year y, etc? Isn't it easier in years as the game shows years, not turns? Is there any place in the interface that shows turns, or you just calculate the turn in your heads? Not a superimportant question, just wondering...

1 year = 12 turns.
I use turns because that's how it is stored in the game data.

And also, if you hit an AI with an earthquake, let's say, do they know who it is coming from?

If death touch is an effect on an artifact staff, does that mean it provides it's death chance only on melee attacks made by ranged mage characters? Or does it super powerfully apply to the ranged magical attacks?

It applies to the ranged attacks only, not the melee because staves count as ranged weapons.

Are you sure it doesn't apply to the staff melee? I seem to remember using a caster hero to melee to kill with death touch after running out of ammo, and it worked. Think it was v5.63 or 5.71.

So, nomads get the road bonus as if they have roads, right? Now, if you actually build the roads between nomad cities, do they get extra road bonus, or not?
