The Pittsburgh PIRATEs are a baseball team.
They use a BAT to hit the ball.
Many ballplayers are MILLIONAIREs.
CRICKET is another sportsball game.
Baseball is popular in Japan, so TOKYO?
Ballplayers can be TAGged out when running the bases. You also tag up after a fly ball.

Since ballplayer is usually specifically applied to baseball, I like PIRATE, BAT, TAG.

No one else liked CHECK for chocolate? Lots of restaurants have that little plastic tray where you get your check, and the fancy ones will put chocolates on there.

CRICKET, BAT & TAG? Everything else seems like it would be better clued with something more specific. Maybe MILLIONAIRE instead of TAG.

CAST for the +1? I prefer MARBLE tbh but admit that could be quite risky.

Okay, CRICKET looks rather obvious. BAT would be my second guess for the cricket reference.

Lots of ballplayers are rich, very rich. I`m ever so slightly leaning MILLIONAIRE over TAG (but I don`t know much about baseball terms). Fwiw, I don`t like TOKYO.

As for the last Chocolate word, CAST, MARBLE and CHECK have been suggested. I`m really struggling to see an obvious choice between those words. Maybe we should take a gamble anyway, just to clear off another word from the board?

Point to MILLIONAIRE

I'm very anti-CHECK for Chocolate, the connection is far too weak. Happy for either remaining word, with a preference for CAST over MARBLE.
