Well sick was reeked and novel was basilisk, so the last word has to be clued by basilisk and reeked. I’m not sure whale fits with basilisk, IMO witch fits better.
Superdeath, comm?

I have no preference. Whatever the majority wants.

Right away I saw SOCK was the hardest word to clue and wouldn't be able to do better than pairing it with something, which would mean having to give a 4+ clue at some point. ROCK/MARBLE were close in meaning, combine them with CRASH to make Earthquake and I could even throw in PLATE and EUROPE with Tectonic to make 5. 5 words are obviously a big gamble, but the only pitfall I could see was PIT which would be worth it to knock out so many words. And the team followed me perfectly without even hitting PIT! Not often a 5 clue works perfectly from the get go, real proud of the team for making it work.
I'm real curious to hear the reasoning behind blue's Mosh 4, I had no idea what the 3rd/4th words EG was going for but it seems they barely missed JET and POISON, both would've been game over for blue pretty much, and were very lucky to hit 4 blue words to stay alive.
After Tectonic I was left with 4 words that weren't easy to pair together. Since SOCK was so difficult to clue, I tried to group the rest of the words together using the only POISON I knew from Harry Potter (the only NOVEL about WITCHes I know really well). I didn't see COLD (acceptable) and GLASS (fortunately a low priority for the team) meaning I would be forced to reclue WITCH with SOCK. I don't know what would have been a better clue, Veritaserum? That probably the second most well known potion from Harry Potter after Polyjuice (which would cause other problems), even though it's technically not a poison. I don't know...
The only connection I could see between SOCK and WITCH is their smell. I might've tried for the name of a witches shoe if I knew what they were called (Google is now telling me they are called witches shoes no help at all). Reeked was aimed to point squarely at SOCK and give you just enough of a push towards WITCH to get you to choose that over WHALE/GLASS etc. And the team figured it out, good job guys!

Hah, I was certain "Reeked" was a Game of Thrones reference and you were trying for Novel + Sock, and then Glass as the final Basilisk word.

If I wanted NOVEL + GLASS I probably would've gone Shoe unlimited.

Yeah, Tectonic was a crushing clue and very well played. The plan for Mosh was to hit PIT + CONCERT as the setting, and SWING + BUCK as verb synonyms: at the mosh pit of a concert, you swing your arms and buck your hips. I didn't see any 4+4 pairings, so my follow-up clues were originally Destrier for WAR + HORSESHOE and Lens for GLASS + CAP. The team getting WAR instead of BUCK only required a slight adjustment to Bronco, but it was all in the red team's hands for us to have a chance.
EDIT: I know almost nothing about metal bands, so JET and POISON didn't register at all for me, and I think I was partially relying on that being the case for my teammates as well
