OK, I apparently screwed everything up at some point, probably last turn. There SHOULD be 36 hammers in the duct, and 12 in the Monastery. Instead, there are 24 in both. I'll have to see whats best now. Single whipping is probably not a good idea.

Wow, I unimaginibly screwed the pooch by not switching back to the Aquaduct. Maybe it's a good thing we're getting a new turnplayer before I screw something else up. I had hoped I could get 1 food from one of the overlap cities during these 4 turns, but no. Of course not.

Here's the new micro plan regarding Temminck only.

119 - Temminck generates Great Scientist, builds Monastery (Aquaduct, Worker, Pikeman on hold) and WHIPS it for 1 pop, works
Shared village, Village, Village, Cottage, Grass Cottage, Rice, Copper, FP Farm (Borrowed from FS)

120 - Temminck completes monestary, builds Worker(Aqueduct, Pikeman on hold),and whips it for 1 pop, works SharedVillage, village,village, fpcottage, rice, copper, grasscottage, gold

121 - Temminck completes worker, builds worker (Aqueduct, Pikeman on hold) works

122 - Temminck completes worker, builds Aqueduct (Pikeman on hold) works Shared Village+village+village+fpcottage+rice+copper+grasscottage+unimproved river plains. UGH.

Total cost of my pooch screwing = 1 hammer (total), and 6 coins BEFORE multiplication (loses the gold for one turn for a river plains tile to keep the city growing on schedule, and there is one extra tile being worked THIS turn (1 coin river grass at PR). I think since FS is working the cottage this turn instead of PR, and PR is getting 1 beaker that otherwise woldn't exist, it's actually only 8 net beakers even after multiplication), as well as the extra unhappyness because of two single whips instead of one double. However, I see no better alternative. I'll leave it for now in case someone else does see something better.

Manic, don't worry about it, i'm sure i'll be making some mistakes - i'll warn you now. Did you run whipping the Aquaduct for 2 into the Hindu Mon? or is the overflow too little and no need for the 'duct as yet?

Could you post a 119t sandbox? - If it's to hand.

The whipping the duct is bad for myriad reasons.

1) we don't need it yet

2) we delay both the workers at least 1 turn each

3) every turn we do without the monastery is lost hammers and lost beakers.

Everything I can come up with is worse than the 2 single whips.

I have an end of turn 118 sandbox save i can send to you as an attachment. You'll have to change the build to a monastery instead of a duct and hit enter.

The big loss is in beakers, which could unfortunately delay liberalism a turn. The 1 hammer could probably be made up at some point if it makes a difference. The "new plan" changes nothing anywhere but Temminck, with the exception that THIS turn PR works an unimproved river grass instead of the cottage - the cottage is worked by temminck -

It could possibly work the plains mine, but that would delay growth to it's next pop point after the one it grows to in 2 turns, and I can't work out a way around that. Maybe you can. Losing the beakers is probably not the end of the world. Net changes in tiles worked for the entire plan - Lost: 1 Turn of Gold Mine. Gained: 1 Turn of unimproved river grass, 1 turn of unimproved river plains.

Temminck works out almost exactly the same. Still has 18/38 food, 55 hammers into a duct in the original plan, 54 in the new one. No other cities are affected. The lost coins/hammer/10 turns of unhappy being the issues. Temminck has oodles of happy, so the happy probably doesnt matter.

I'm trusting that you can finish the turn, because I'm gone now. I really do think that this is the best solution. It's the only one that gets the monastery, and both workers over the next 3 turns, without slowing the growth of either of the cities it overlaps. I HAVE to study for my panels now. I was supposed to have started doing this hours ago
