If this clue's only purpose was to point away from Crow (via the tenuous nursery rhyme connection, but we haven't got any better theory), that could be done more simply as Bird 0 since we already took Parrot off the board. He's trying to say something else with this clue too. It might be warning us away from Casino (penny slot machines), maybe a future clue needs us to ignore that word. It could be indicating Buck as an opposite of a penny, and trying to connect to that without hitting Casino. That's my best guess from what we have.
