Looking forward to the uptick in new pitbosses in 5 years from now when the first wave of players enters retirement...

EG, is 1 September (or a few days later) ok for you?

About the mod i would prefer the cth since its the only one i played and that would be less to study xD

I'll dedlurk you. I'm pretty active as a dedlurker and like to log in, so if you like someone more hands off, that's not me.

TIL there are people here who played Civ 4 as a kid...

On topic, I'm tempted to join because I expect the Covid situation here to get worse with schools, festivals, sporting events and flights open. But I can't promise I'll have the time until that happens, so I think I'll catch the next game. If there is one.

I fondly remember when my parents got me it as a gift in 1st grade.

I still have the original box and manual, it's always on my desk.

That was my exact experience with civ 3, it helped me learn english in a generally non-english speaking household.

Yeah, September 1 start should work for me.

The new CtH version (1.4) can be found here: https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/show...?tid=10069

I encourage every player of this PB to play some rounds before the game starts, just so that I can fix any potential bugs before the game starts.

Also in addition for our lovely mapmaker. You want to enable the following new game options for this PB:
  • No City Trading
  • No score
  • City count tied to espionage
These are for the specific 'no score' setting of this PB.

I integrated them as game option so that any future PB, who wants to use them can do so and I don't have to provide any new versions. Sorry for that, but I am lazy in that regard. neenerneener

Good, we're aiming at a start on 1 September then. Comm, with this in mind, when should we close signups so you know the final number of players? Currently we're 8

And Charriu, the way you implemented this seems pretty awesome, now in every setup thread players can fight over whether to include noscore smile

At least by the 31st.  nod In all seriousness, I expect you'll want to see starts, pick combos (method?), etc, so maybe look to lock in a week at 8/20?

Eh, depends where you are.  It's effectively done in a bunch of US states now, not that they will admit it.  (It was done in NYC in May)

Pretty easy test actually.  If the confirmed positive cases in any given area is about 2% of that area's population, it's basically over for that area.  (It'll never be completely over - we will have a trickle of cases forever - among other things it's in the feral cat population, so they will infect outside housecats, who will infect their owners).

But the state of the covid sniffles has nothing to to with the lockdown status of any area, so facts may not be relevant.
