I actually do think nauf is suspicious. You're accusation that I was jumping on Nauf because he was trying to explain himself is a bit off. It's the way he went about defending that piques my interest. But more than that it's early days. And I have a few hunches brewing.
And to be fair about your accusation, Superdeath quick voted for the two people I view as most likely innocent so far. And in a manner I find to be "No U" which is ew.

Yeah, that was a weak attack for questionable reasons accomplishing nothing. Fortunately, as a regular, I can tell you that's the Superdeath signature.

SDs post here is super-scummy, but so is uh, Commodore leaping to his defense immediately.

Naufragar, you talk about separating your question for Serdoa from a vote on him, and perhaps that makes sense in the context of One Night Ultimate Werewolf (a game I personally haven't played, but it sounds like you only get one day lynch vote per game?), but in a forum game where your vote is all the leverage you have, you can see why it drew all this attention.
Cyneheard, you've been quiet since your random vote on scooter at the beginning. What do you think about the interactions between naufragar/Serdoa/Lewwyn, and on the reasoning of pindicator and Commodore starting a second wagon on GKC?
That's my work schedule coming into play. Lunch being when this started was great, but had to focus on work after that. I don't know how much time I'll get during weekday work hours.
We've had One Night Werewolf on the forum, and votes moved around during the day IIRC, so that's not a great presumption El Grillo on naufr's behalf, although in person it might work differently.
I picked scooter because he's someone I know better, so I figured I'd have a chance to get a little more information out of him than someone else initially, but then wagons went off in other directions because GKC and naufragar are absolutely all over the place. The wagons on them almost make too much sense - that they're obviously being careless so let's get them because it's too easy! I want to hear more from Rowain and pindicator about why they went for their wagons.
Lewwyn's point was that Serdoa is just being Serdoa, which I know isn't all that helpful for people who don't remember him that well. Especially since the self-vote was the first post, I think starting the day with obvious nonsense to get a reaction makes sense. That's not my style but I get it - and I WANT my reunion game to start with some silliness in the first few minutes. It's not like we had anything more to go on.
this whole post seems scummy. Cyneheard
What does scummy mean here? You keep using it and idk what it means.
Scummy mean wolf behavior, mafia/werewolves are often colloquially referred to as scum in these games.
I'm currently finding Serdoa, Rowain, Lewwyn, Cyneheard and Commodore most suspicious. Nauf and SD have the scummiest posts of the game so far but given I have no history on them, I'm willing to chill for now.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

It appears that there were several broken quotes in that post but I can't fix it now. Mea maximum culpa.

Right where I want to be.
We're still missing votes from thrawn and CMF, by the by.

I have no experience unless you count playing "mafia" on the Starcraft 2 arcade... and not very well either.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

About a dozen live games (called it mafia, though), and some fiddling around with an iphone app for it that wasnt very enjoyable.

Work day done. Beer open. I should be critically reading James Joyce for a book group but this is so much more fun

GKC, there is so much more to discuss! For instance, who is pushing serdoa/naufrager? Who is pushing you? Did they start or join with a flimsy reason? Did they talk bad about one and then not vote? What could their motives be for what they write? If one does turn up a wolf then what does that say about the others? OH GOD I'VE MISSED THIS! (And this beer: Pelican makes good stuff.)
So I thought I had good vibes on one of you/naufrager being a wolf, but then it came out you're both new. And our meta here at RB I'm told is different. Different at civ different at WW. Ergo, less sure now and willing to give new people a little slack. But I want to hear your reasoning because that's where the breadcrumbs come from. When we all turn up dead - because most of us will - those breadcrumbs are going to be what helps us win.

Okay, that might have had a little influence on my vote.
And what are you trying to highlight in post 87?
#53
CMF, is this you're only thought? Have you read all our beautiful writing yet? Would you care to read Ulysses with me instead? Or maybe vote?
#58
Gaspar, why do I get scum vibes off you? What's this "this bus is super scummy but I'm going to keep my vote here anyway" bullshit?
#62
Scooter joins you in the "voting for him is bad but I'm going to justify voting for him anyway" scum vibe.
#61, #63
On the other hand, I like what I see from El Grillo. Town vibes here so far.
#70 - Yes, very good thoughts on naufrager and GKC! And then follow that up with common sense about Serdoa posting? El Grillo for mayor in my book. Wait we don't have a mayor? Fuck it, honorific mayor title bestowed.
Wait that's Cyneheard talking about El Grillo. Well I clearly liked this post and there's Gaspar criticizing it later so hello. Nothing like confirmation bias to get me going down a path.
Scooter is doing a good job of flying under the radar so far, not kicking up much but only focusing on the low hanging fruit after his back and forth with Cyneheard. I guess I understand encouraging people to post, so I'll do the same: share your thoughts on some meatier targets scooter.

In reverse order:
that post got a bit out-of-order, but the point is that i messed up the colors and therefore edited, went back, read the rules, realized that uh oh bad, shouldn't have done that.
My vote for nauf is more of a way to prod (and the previous two were just for testing the function of /vote). In the games I've played, there is a night before the day, and there's much more to go off of.
Serdoa's interaction is, at face value, towny, meant to provoke reactions from other palyers, probably trap newer players? Obviously, you can then argue that he's doing this to seem more town, so on and so forth. But based on the little evidence available, my initial instinct is to say Serdoa acted on the town's behalf to try and trap some players. Nauf awkwardly dancing around it just made it worth latching onto, and putting more pressure onto awkwardness is the MO of the opening few turns of this game, as far as I understand.
Just wanted to point out that Rowain was the first to latch onto this minor minor detail. (See post #36) Make of that what you will...
