An extra point: Some people tell the truth about their roles/action. Some are unsure whether they should or should not. Some have every incentive to lie. I was a wolf in one game, got caught (not sure how much of it was me being caught lying vs. Lewwyn realizing he was NO LONGER a wolf and could confirm that I was a wolf), and in the other one I stole the Tanner role so I wanted to die, so I lied about my actions, got caught, and successfully hanged for it - but just read that entire game (I think it was #2), including the post-mortem. So both games I ended up evil, lied about it, and got caught - but in one of those I WANTED to get caught.
Some other people had fairly straightforward situations - they were villagers with roles, they did things with them, they told the truth about it, and had to figure out how much of the rest was truth vs fiction - and what to do with that information.
Good thoughts and memories from those games, thanks for sharing!

It's more of an open setup - only some of the roles on the overall sheet will be included in our starting setup, and that will be known to us, but some of the roles are in the "reserve" and belong to nobody (some of the roles interact with the reserve).

Omar didn't think he even signed up for this here game until he got a PM from Brick with his role, but Brick got lucky that Omar in a good mood since the Tanning-Bed Comb-Over-in Chief got got, and Omar got a light work week at the 9/5. So Omar reporting.
Not really sure the rules, or what to do, but you know, all in the game right?
So if I understand this here nonsense, it's at least theoretically possible we are all town. Or one wolf. Or two wolves. Or a tanner. Or a tanner and two wolves.
How Omar supposed to deal with all that?
Omar town. Anyone else town? Or kind enough to admit to being a Barksdale so Omar can introduce you to his shotty right quick and get on with his life?

You're sadly mistaken Omar, we can even be three wolves and a tanner, with only 3 townies. Or 6 townies and a tanner, but I guess we started with atleast one wolf, probably two. To make it even better, three of the townies can scramble the roles of others.
Looks like I'll be the townie to get this started and claim that I'm a troublemaker. That's right, two of you lucky guys aren't even what you think you are, but I'm not saying whom.. Atleast for now. (That is, unless the witch or robber took my role!)
