Here's a review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xbjByB1bLeg
It's a D&D based RPG but with modern QoL features. Great story and combat.
The game is currently discounted on Steam (-60%) so thought this would be a good time to ask..
Would people here be up for a co-op playthrough? It would be a long-term project, but we are kinda used to those here with the PB's and PBEM's.
The game is around 100 hours to beat. Say we do one 4 hour session a week, it would take about half a year to be finished.
I played through maybe 80% of it, but my former co-op partner disappeared to the ether. However it was very very fun to play as co-op, hence the request for a new playthrough.
You can have up to 4 players. Would be cool if we could find a full group so everyone controls one character.
Anyone interested?
EDIT: Players:
- Jowy / Fire Mage (or fill)
- Kaiser / Geo + Hydro or Aero Mage
- Amicalola / Scoundrel + Summoner
- El Grillo / Warfare front liner

Oh this is tempting, my wife and me currently play Divinity 1 and 2 is waiting for us to finish (for a long time already). What regular playing interval and times were you looking at?

Once a week, probably on Saturday or Sunday because those tend to work best if timezones differ. We would decide as a group when it's filled, hopefully finding one time slot that works for everyone.

I downloaded this game due to all the glowing reviews and found it to be clunky and unintuitive. I gave it 5-6 hours of play time and it just never clicked for me. I could see where the combat could be interesting, but I did not find the story, UI, or presentation engaging. I don’t know if I just didn’t give it enough time, or if it’s just the wrong genre for me. If you do some reports on your playthrough, I might follow to see if it clicks for me.
Completed: SG2-Wonders or Else!; SG3-Monarch Can't Hold Me; WW3-Surviving Wolf; PBEM3-Replacement for Timmy of Khmer; PBEM11-Screwed Up Huayna Capac of Zulu; PBEM19-GES, Roland & Friends (Mansa of Egypt); SG4-Immortality Scares Me

I own it, but my timezone might make things difficult.

Aww. Any particular gripe? I could let you know if it's something that continues or is only present at the beginning.

Which timezone? I'm at GMT+2.

I am interested, but have a similar potential timezone issue. Current timezone is GMT+11.
My other question would be how much of the story/plot would people want to see? Having only played the first act before, I would be interested in seeing it, but I would understand if others are not?

I'm assuming all of it. I've seen most, but I'm OK sitting back and letting other players take convos and make decisions.
Since we have some interest now: Let me know your time slots you'd be available on Sat and Sun.
For me, it's flexible due to Covid. Mainly wouldn't want to play at night, so let's say between 8:00 to 22:00 GMT+2 starting time on Sat or Sun.

I would be interested but I need to run the final time slot by my wife and I will be traveling over Christmas without access to a powerful PC for playing.
We already established that only one of us can play due to our 6 month old.
I am situated GMT+2, afternoons are trickier for me to organize but morning or evening should work
We are still on Original Sin I, so I am completely unspoiled and would like to see everything :D

Xmas break will probably have to happen anyway.
Welcome aboard officially
That makes two slots left to be filled.

It is a long commitment for sure so please be sure you have the time if you join in. That said, playing once a week should be less daunting.
