It's +12. However To Defend chance only applies to the first 15 defense rolls, above that you have the default 30% chance in CoM.

What is the expected status of in-battle auto button?
In CoM it was infuriatingly dumb. I think the option of auto-battle is to be seen similar to a city auto-governor in 4x games, something to reduce tedium micromanagement because in MoM/CoM late game has too many inconsequential battles often relating to attrition and usage of spells. Making your auto similar to an easy or normal difficulty type of ai with spellcasting will speed things up in a more immersive way than using the overland autocombat. Ill say age of wonders planetfall is the best at this, letting u watch at fast speed, but often the ai decisions are flawed and worse than the average player Flavorwise it seems too abstract to matter, ur mage is like an avatar to your decisionmaking but making it automatic in combat is just a gamey feature not to be taken too seriously for gamers doing well and wanting to speed things up with fast imperfect battles
As far as I remember, it was something like
-use ranged if available, otherwise melee -attack nearest enemy first -units cast spells if priority to do so is above zero -if spell was cast, pick the best target like the AI would -don't remember if best spell is cast or a random one Auto casting spells for the player was not included, only units. I don't remember the reason but it probably is on the forum somewhere. I don't know yet if inconsequential battles will be anywhere near as frequent as they were in CoM I, but there are a few reasons that makes me think they might not be : -AI is less likely to attack when they aren't able to win -AI is better at gathering units into 9 stacks -AI is more willing to avoid casting spells in inconsequential battles if they are already low on mana, in which case you also don't need to
Is there any way to modify the number of picks for custom wizards at all? I know in the old DOS versions you could modify a hex address in magic.exe. I was considering ramping up the difficulty to Lunatic or so but modifying the number of picks to like 18. That way I could have fun with a "powerful" build with a lot of options, but still have a matching challenge.
Thanks!
How spell trade works? Is there any rule about value of trade? what is factor which ai would consider the spell as tradeable or could be trade with which spells?
I noticed that the nomad farmer produces 4 breads. It used to be 2 in COM1. Is this something new, and is it only for nomads, or for all?
Also, is there a help page for COM2 anywhere like the help page for COM1 at seravy.x10.mx? (April 25th, 2021, 14:25)prokolyo Wrote: I noticed that the nomad farmer produces 4 breads. Trying to figure out the intended role of vampire. Is it intended to be Death's high defense, low resist unit? Kind of like its Great Lizard only more sinister?
