The recent coverage of the Facebook/Australia tiff is a nice reminder just how much liberals suck ass too .

This has little or nothing to do with Darrell's post, but his bumping of the thread reminded me that I wanted to post this chart that my daughter sent me:
The irony, of course, is that this ranking will necessarily be subjective. But I agree with their rankings of the sources that I know.

That is an awesome chart; it justifies my decision to lean heavily on The Economist .

Also interesting that for same source media the web reporting is more factual than television.

Worth noting that our 'Liberals' are the more conservative party, akin to your Republicans. The whole thing started basically because they are in the pocket of the Murdoch press, a huge conservative media conglomerate that is struggling against Facebook.
But yes, it's all pretty ridiculous. And a reminder of just how small we are on the international scale.

Oh, sorry...I meant the coverage in the US. I actually have no idea how it was being covered in Australia but when I heard Murdoch owned the majority of media there, I did jump to certain conclusions.

Television is not designed to transfer information or handle nuance. It’s great for breaking news (although Twitter is sometimes faster). Anyone who relies on cable news (any version) as their primary source of information will find they’re spending a lot of time without actually learning all that much.

Will the Republican party be able to recover after the loss of Mr. Potato Head?

@Jowy. I'm actually 90% certain they changed the name for free press instead of any actual concerns. When was the last time anyone bought a potato head. I have 3 for my kids but they are have all been passed down through multiple other kids.
@Darrel - Where is this? (edit CPAC; quick google search) and WTF. I don't get this idolizing and pandering. Republicans he's going to run again in 2024. You are going to make EVERY candidate have to state if they are fine with him being head of the party on the campaign trail in EVERY election. Sure he may energize SECTIONS of your base, but if there is anything scarier than "radical liberals" it has to be Trump right?
