Just an observation but - how many people are lurking this game? I flick in every now and then but I couldn't tell the you who is on what team or even neighbours!
It seems that the game is too big to really lurk...
Had there only been 6 - 8 teams it might have been easier...

I am trying, but not really succeeding.
On the other hand, there was a picture in a team thread a few week ago, with a global map with every position and a color code for which side they were. (But that is not taking into account how involved is everyone in their respective group, some seems to be quite flexible and are maintening very good relation with the other side....)

@Jabah:
Any chance you could direct me to that image [or at least the thread it can be found in]?
I was originally lurking Krill's thread... but he stopped posting coherently a long time ago.
EDIT:
Since no one seems willing to support my laziness, I took some time [15 minutes at least, in fact] and dug out this old pic from the DIM thread.

The nations in white are part of PAT, the nations in black form CUDDLE.
The way I understand it [not at all], it is a war between the more advanced PAT and the alliance-of-necessity CUDDLE. Honestly, though, to be able to understand the full scope of what is happening would require super-human Internet-powers.
I might consider lurking this game again more closely if several more teams got eliminated; 14 teams is too much.

Sorry Tatan, I couldn't find it quickly enough last time, but that is the one I was thinking about.
(Also since you edited your post, I was not even aware that you have managed to find it, I was going to post it after finding it again )

Does anyone think that Maniac Marshall is over-reacting to the settler from Byzantium...
Surely just send them a mail asking about it - don't start threatening war at this stage...

I shouldn't post this in public since Marshall might not think of it. If the game is reloaded, he CAN still get his settler this turn. The trick will be, of all things, to enable Avoid Growth on the city. Then he'll get the full 101 food+hammers credited towards the settler since the city won't lose the 2 food to a newly-grown citizen. The city won't grow to 8 this turn, but it will on the next turn, and furthermore will get the extra 1 missing food from the granary.

I wish there was some kind of "spectator mode" in Civ 4, kinda like in Starcraft i think. With it, us lurkers could login to the game and see anything (no fog of war) but obviously not do anything. Would be much easier to see what was going on imo. Or at least a bit easier.
