RBP3 [Spoilers] Capac of Mali

For the drafting, I would suggest the following:

Sirian: Don't draft. It is close to its happy cap even with the bonus from REP, and we will switch back to BUR at the end of the Golden Age so we want to keep it large and happy.
Uberfish: 1 Musket.
Sticky Fingers: 1 Musket. We could do two if we really thought it necessary but then we'd have happy problems. We could always whip them away into a Courthouse or Market, but then the city would lose a lot of population.
Blake: 2 Muskets. In order to do this we need to switch off the 0/5/0 copper tile and onto a cottage for 8 turns. This loses out on 40 hammers for a Cuirrassier, but gets us an extra Musket.
Paint it Brown: 1 or 2 Muskets, depending on how much we care about happiness issues.
Ruby Tuesday: 1 Musket.
Steel Wheels: 1 Musket.
Babylon Bridge: 2 Muskets (it is actually growing fast enough that we can draft it twice by turn 142, the last Golden Age turn).

That gives us 9 Muskets without double-drafting any of our large cities. If we switch away from REP we'll probably still have happiness issues, but we'd be able to whip away the unhappiness into buildings if needed.

T134 Espionage

Power ratio last turn (based on demographics graph): 505/312
Our power last turn: 318K
Inca's power last turn: 196K

Our power this turn: 318K
Espionage Ratio: 132/115

Cities
JANK Food
Population: 7
Production: 177 (+18)
Improvements: Palace, Terrace, Library, Market

Kiwi Town
Population: 7
Production: 24 (+24)
Improvements: Terrace, Courthouse

Kalin's Burgers
Population: 8
Production: 28 (+3)
Improvements: Terrace, Library

Texas Grill
Population: 7 (+1)
Production: 34 (+9)
Improvements: Terrace, Library, Courthouse

It looks like JANK food is building a stone-boosted building. Perhaps Notre Dame? Chitzen Itza is also a possibility, but doesn't make much sense as they'll have Rifling soon. Am I missing a possibility?

Didn't really get round to the turn report, but not much happened except that bloody barb HA rant

Put on 10% EP slider to rein Inca back in there. Is that 18 hammers in their cap? I'd assume they'd be building a Bank whilst running BUR.

Also trying to scrounge happy resources, and will ask Maya about their Knight. I think we need to go ahead and draft, given MP warfare is more or less a production challenge.

I forgot about the BUR bonus. A bank makes a lot more sense. smile It should finish in two turns.

Do we really want to use the EP slider on Inca? We're going to attack them in 10 turns so what's the harm in letting them get ahead of us in Espionage now?

Losing their troop numbers?

How close are we to losing their demographics numbers though? I didn't look but I don't think they'll be able to do so even with 12 EP/turn on us.

Here's the link to 'passive' EPs spending benefits:

And here's the soldier count linky I promised a while back: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=163098

The multiplier for demographics is only 0.3. So we only need 0.3 * (100 + Their EP) to see their demographics. At +4 EP/turn for us to their +12 EP/turn, they won't ever get to a level where we can't see their graphs. So we don't need to run the EP slider (for that reason anyway).

At long last, the game is back on! It is now turn 135. This is 500 AD, so it might be a good time to do an overview of the empire if you have the time Swiss.

The barb Horse Archer pillaged a hamlet. Our Knights aren't in range to attack the HA this turn, but we can move them onto the tile Wild is currently on and move Wild 1 North to protect our villages from pillaging. Wild will probably die to an attack by the HA but that's probably preferable to having the village pillaged.

Maya founded the city of Thundara south of Ruby Tuesday. Its fat cross overlaps with Ruby Tuesday's but we should be able to keep control of those tiles unless Maya makes an effort to steal them from us (which they hopefully won't since they're supposed to be our allies).

Catapults finished in Sirian and Ruby Tuesday, and Knights finished in Blake and Steel Wheels. I set each of these cities to build the same unit they just finished.

Jerry finished a chop into a Barracks at Babylon Bridge. L'Wren moved SW and put 1 turn into a road towards Paint it Brown. Sabrina started a road 1W of the Corn, and when she finishes that she should follow L'Wren SW, finishing the road along the way.

The workers around Uberfish finished a Cottage on the Plains River tile shared by Sirian and Uberfish. Next turn the workers should probably start another watermill for Uberfish. I micro'd Sirian to grow this turn by working the 3/0/0 farm instead of the 2/5/0 hamlet. This effectively trades a turn working the 2/5/0 tile for an extra turn working the 1/2/4 tile. Feel free to undo this if you disagree with it, I think it's mostly a wash.
