*Revolution - the Glorious Revolution was one famous one
*Angel - Angels are often portrayed as visually glorious beings
*Atlantis - The Atlantis myth evokes both the 'glory and splendor' of the rich and advanced continent, as well as a notion of a glorious past now fallen away and lost
*Ivory/Skyscraper/Gold - If we're just looking at glory as a rough synonym for 'fancy' sans any connection to praise or heroism then these all fit together
*Church - Some churches (more so temples or cathedrals (granted not all important Catholic churches are home to a bishop)) are physically glorious, and those glorified for whatever reason might be celebrated in a church, especially in older times with a stronger connection between religion and popular recognition
*Doctor - Doctors in wars or disasters and the like are said to be deserving of glory
*Robin - The superhero of the same name has earned lots of glory
*Cloak - Placed around the shoulders of one who has earned glory
*Spell - This is admittedly a deep cut, but Glory Everlasting is a Spell in the FFH2 Civilization mod
*Shakespeare - Has received lots of glory as the center of the English literature canon
*Litter - Someone being paraded about or otherwise 'coming in glory' may ride in one

That's more than half the board so I'm certainly interested in seeing what my teammates think. I only feel confident in Revolution and Angel, and otherwise am pretty uncertain between glory being used as 'praiseworthy' versus glory as 'resplendent'....

So the first things that came to my mind were
ANGELs are a holy and glorious figure, right?
REVOLUTION often has connotations with glory
Glorious things are often made out of GOLD
TIMEs can be glorious
CHURCH, especially catholic, often has connections to glory

I'm feeling very good about REVOLUTION, TIME, GOLD and ANGEL, in that order

When I first looked, I noticed GOLD first as in the glory of winning at the Olympics; ROW because I though the movie was Glory Row rather than Glory Road, but did realize Glory Row is a Jethro Tull song; SPELL because Glory, or Glory of blank, or blank of Glory are very common spell names in a whole bunch of games involving magic; and REVOLUTION because they can be quite glorious; with lesser looks at ROBIN, ANGEL, and CHURCH.

Having read your guys ones, I really like ANGEL and see ATLANTIS as a legitimate guess as well, so my order would probably be something like:

GOLD, REVOLUTION, ANGEL = ATLANTIS = SPELL, ROW, CHURCH, and ROBIN.

Looks like we are all comfortable with those two so

Let’s point to Gold now since we all have it pretty high. After that we should consider Time (only Charriu has it listed but he has it very high) and Church (we all thought of it but have it lower). But I think we should strongly consider Atlantis - I think something like Spell could easily be blue but Atlantis seems safest in terms of being at worst gray.

Well damn. Not that I had Gold especially high, but I thought the Gold Medal connection was a pretty good one I had overlooked…
