Are you, in fact, a pregnant lady who lives in the apartment next door to Superdeath's parents? - Commodore

Looking at spoilers, I didn't see Butcher's Bill at all. I've heard the expression but I don't have that strong of an association. Nevertheless you're both really strong on it so I'll point.

One other thought which just came to me is that Butcher is the co-protagonist of the dark superhero series The Boys. But I don't see any strong connection aside from Screen which can relate to any media property.

Commodore, how do you feel about Hook which both pindicator and I have as strongly connected?

pindicator, it's the Barber of Seville isn't it?

I'm willing to point at Hook
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

BEIJING is obvious. TRIP seems probable.

AMERICA is the tough call - is this included as a representative of a nationality, or excluded by the "inter"national clue?

I think I would lean towards guessing America (and hope it's no-worse-than-gray), just because there doesn't seem to be much of anything else on the board that connects. SCIENTISTs are often international, BANDs can be, maybe Swiss CHOCOLATE, German or Italian OPERA, a military HELICOPTER or SCUBA mission... but all of those are pretty tenuous links.

I played once when my teammate won for us by guessing a word that was never clued. We covered all our clued words and had 1 to go, but so did the other team. Teammate looked for the hardest word on the board to wrap into any of the other clues (it was Kiwi), guessed it with our +1, and astounded the entire table when he was correct.

I’m sure eventually a team may have some reason for doing otherwise, but I like this mainly as I suck about remembering to pass smile

The first word that jumped out on me is TRIP for international travel.
BEIJING as an international city?
Perhaps AMERICA should be seen as national rather than international?'
There are a number of other options. A BAND can have international members.
TV-programs are shown on SCREENS and could be seen as international.

This is tricky. I`d go TRIP - BEIJING and then reassess.
