SPOILERS-Super Secret Lurker Thread

Since this game is beginning to get started, I have made a spot to mock all the fools [players] as they play.

It is going to be fun seeing all the reactions of the players as they discover that most all of the map is jungle.

LOL more like jungle blanket.

Quick note on civ/leader picks:
SilentConfusion is going to have a massive, massive, MASSIVE advantage on this map with those fast workers. Add in the fact that he seems like a very competent player [micromanager especially], and he is a force to reckoned with [Probably my #1 favorite on turn 1; seriously, look at the analysis he's doing in his thread!].

Cjreynol's picks seem a bit lackluster, although admittedly a Skirmisher camping in a jungle could be one pain-in-the-ass choke.

Shoot The Moon has a solid pair; hippodromes might prove more useful then normal as I don't think this map has too many luxuries on it.

WarriorKnight's pick in Peter could prove very useful with lots of food yielding lots of specialists yielding lots of great people.

Meatbalz also has a pretty solid pair, though not really synergistic at all.

Hope this game gets moving again soon; it looks like it's going to be really interesting!

Nice twist with the settings being No Barbs and having a barb city in the middle!

Or is that going to conflict and remove it?
"You want to take my city of Troll%ng? Go ahead and try."

I did some tests in singleplayer, and the barb city didn't appear to get affected because it was already spawned. Just to irritate the players, I also gave the longbow in the city Leadership [+100% exp gain], too punish anyone who tries and fails at taking the city.

SilentConfusion was whining a bit about a lack of starting pix to plan the start, so I might do that if this delay holds up much longer.

LOL everyone seems to see jungle and think, "Gosh, I must be near the equator." Anyone want to take bets on who catches on to the map script first?

Some pre-pick thoughts. The map is really crowded, even if it is size normal. Especially Creative and Imperialistic should work well. These would work best combined together or with economy traits or military ones. Even protective should work reasonably well to claim position in the center area. Worse picks are probably industrious and organized unless the difficulty level is raised to Monarch or higher. If someone picks organized, I think Monarch is the best difficulty level. Even industrious is not totally bad. There is just 1 early marble with jungle above it and GLH is solid wonder when settling the surrounding islands.

Best nations are pretty obvious i.e. the ones with early UU. If UU is resourceless, even better. So I would rate Inca, Mali, Natives and Maya as best picks.

Obvivously players don't know the map so let's see what they do without this knowledge.

Awesome map, plako!

The center spells culture wars to me. Will be interesting to see what happens with the stone wonders.
I have to run.

Almost all picks has been done:
Shoot the Moon - India / Sury (Cre/Exp)
Meatbalz - / Willem (Cre/Fin)
WarriorKnight - Inca / Pacal (Exp/Fin)
Serdoa - Byzantine / Hatshepsut (Cre/Spi)
ad hoc - Native Americans / Hannibal (Cha/Fin)

Some random comments from these.

Only Meatbalz Nation is missing. Since there are no Organized leaders I think Noble is the most suitable difficulty level.

I'm quite surprised that to AW game no one picked agressive leader. All seem to have build up mentality. I hope this isn't the case, but there is also some early warring and not just economy build up.

Natives are in a position to take 1 nation down early with dogs, but I think ad hoc might have picked agressive leader like Ragnar instead, if he planned this. My guess is that he isn't planning to rush. Later natives will have cultural problems. 3*creative + inca with cheap terraces will be painful to them.

Hopefully it won't matter, but I think you should have waited for the last player to pick his civ before showing him the start position.

You're right. I was too early to do it. The starting techs might get influenced. Luckily his start has about everything visible. Only Hunting resources are missing.

I suspect he hasn't been around so I remove it temporarily.
