What do you think about DeSantis using taxpayer funded relief aid for a political stunt? To me that is actually the story.
I have no clue how you want to spin the rest and what is legal / isn't, but that part seems super shady if nothing else.

Sending immigrants to sanctuary places sounds like exactly what relief money should be for, right?
Unless the self-so-called sanctuaries didn't actually mean it and don't actually want immigrants...

I'd say read more about it, but I know you chuds are allergic to reading.

I mean I would also like to see actual processes put in place to handle immigrants. Sending them to a political location without any infrastructure in place to handle with relief money is clearly a political stunt. Now if we want to talk re opening Ellis island or something similar and you know go through proper legal channels to reform our immigration system to accommodate more immigrants, lets do that. But pageantry in politics over substance is sadly fairly normal.

Surprised no comments about Russia's partial mobilization?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Putin's running out of men. Hopefully he is overthrown before he nukes the planet. A man who has lost everything is the most dangerous.

Border states feel preached to and ignored by states that don't bear the brunt of the problem. At some point you have to do something different to drive the conversation forward. It amuses me when the NY governor complains he received no advanced warning...like the border states get a heads up from everyone crossing illegally . I don't condone it because it's inhumane to make the illegal immigrants pawns, and Desantis was pathetically jumping on a bandwagon because he hadn't got enough attention. But I don't have much sympathy for NYC, Chicago or DC, either.

If you thought the Russian regulars fought poorly...conscripts are going to be deserting in droves. If he uses nukes, the gloves are off and the West will supply long range weapons. You are right Jowy though he is desperate enough to risk it.

Eh. What do long range weapons matter if he uses nukes? I see a lot of comments like this, as if it were a manageable scenario that can be calculated for.

It's mutually assured destruction. Big cities will go down, but that's far from the worst. The following nuclear winter and broken supply lines will lead to mass starvation. Some will survive, but most won't.

They weren't even from his state. It was just a publicity stunt that backfired badly. There are states that would welcome immigrants. But obviously you've gotta go through official channels. You don't lie to the immigrants, fake their papers, assign them to random courts around the nation far away from where they were dropped off, bus them there with no advance given to anyone except Fox News, and leave them there with nowhere to go, nothing to eat, no-one to tell them what to do or where to go. About NYC, from what I heard they are struggling financially due to effects from Covid, and perhaps some deeper stuff with the banking industry that is too complicated for me to grasp. There are other states that are more ready to accommodate immigrants. Immigrants on average bring in more money than they cost, opposite to what the racists say, and that fact is why cities and nations will continue to welcome immigrants. It's not charity, it's about money, like it always is.
