Yuri has world top power, and Thoth has removed the guard on the corn. Do we go and see if we can do anything useful? If yuri is applying pressure before praets start marching we should try to do a little as well, should we not? Big question though whether to whip that galley next turn or rather a worker. Pretty sure we can't block the iron, but maybe we can harass the coast.
If you find time to log in I would appreciate some direction.

whats the plan with the galley?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Hey, I found some time to log in before I play PB64. This one is more fun. And awesome news about the chariot!
Looking at the game, it is tempting to damage Kroth. I agree about the iron, since with a barracks around it's too easy for them to ruin our day with shock axes. That was really smart of them to chop the forest ahead of time, grumble grumble.
On balance, I like the idea of staying competitive in foodhammers, but also with harassing Kroth, since they are probably the strongest competition in my view. So I would recommend whipping granary (or max-overflow worker -> granary?) in the capital, but the galley in Hastur. We can pillage the fish, which would be a considerable blow this early in the game, and for which there is no effective counter. If we load units just in case, they can always unload if Kroth threatens Hastur. Thoughts?
Also, AH next, right?

Ok, let's do the galley thing then, to pillage seafood if nothing else. Going to take the shock axe with it. I'd also move that 2axe1spear ministack towards the corn, agreed? I don't expect us to be able to do more damage than that, because we certainly aren't going to get to or past the capital
I had hoped for the capital to do military with the barracks and the other cities to handle civilian needs, but we rally need a worker ado let's get him from the cap.
For tech I was thinking one of Masonry, Archery (to counter dogs), or writing. If we want to maximize yields IW-> AH would be the way. Why AH next though?

I'm not sure about the corn pillaging. Thoth has a barracks so it would be very easy for him to 2-whip a shock axe *2 and ruin our day. Maybe we could move one tile towards it now, but stop short of actually camping it? Up to you, I might be missing something.
I just want 2 move units ASAP. We can do those instead though, they're all good techs (maybe archery first, yeah).

Put that overflow into the granary? Pretty sure that's better than lighthouse...? We're not panicking yet and stuffing it into an axe, right? Because...
Kroth have IW now. I advanced towards the corn. Their cap has 4 pop as of this turn, we'll see if that changes.
I saved gold and oops, didn't select a tech (two beakers got put into archery - I hope that was really all of the Pottery overflow). With the CG3 archer in Brute now I don't think we have an immediate need for another. I don't think chariots will be worth it, but Horchers might be. Masonry does not have an immediate benefit either, or so I believe, but it's on the way to construction.
I kind of like IW->AH for yields, but IW is very expensive, 8 turns at 100%. Probably should invest that towards Construction? We won't sleep well before we have that.

I like the overflow into a granary too, yeah. IW is concerning, maybe if they whip for two we should do another axe? Or if they only just got it, maybe that can't 2-whip a praet efficiently this turn? Also, IW is another reason not to pillage the corn, fwiw; those units getting wiped could be even more disastrous.
Yeah I think Construction is probably next, when you put it like that. Maths has the slight bonus of forest chopping, which we should probably do ASAP. Alternative maybe MC? But that's probably too greedy. Masonry's walls at Brute still seem reasonable to me, but if you do not think so I don't feel strongly. I think I tend to overbuild barracks/walls and underbuild actual units.

MC I wanted to get with Oracle. Now oracling Constru instead would be sweet of course, the question is will they let us. Need Writing, Maths and Masonry yet, and Maths might take quite a while on just the food mine and seafood. Math bulb shouldn't really be faster though, or would it?
With walls, mind that we're building them at full cost, no Pro and no stone. For Brute I was counting on 40%culture defence from Oracle, but if we delay Oracle for twenty more turns then that's a problem of course.

Oh, yeah you're totally right. MC with Oracle is better.
Research Construction in the meantime sounds good to me! We can go Maths first if you really think Walls are unnecessary - when will we found our 4th city?

careful you say?
hm, it might in fact be a trap, if they have a lot of axes on that plains tile. Mind the barracks isn't very old though. Now, would we sacrifice the spear to pillage the corn, if that is a choice to be made?
