That sounds pretty cool! I've attached a first version of one such list that I think might work. Where a new name is missing, Name No.1 is used as a placeholder.

Please send me list, I will help you edit to get rid of copyright infringement and get more suitable names for them if I think I have better replacement.

Feel free to download and change the list from my last post. The first 5 are the original names. You could repost it here.
Writing a list like this is really fun when you're in bed sick like me atm. ;p My finished version is attached. I've mostly used names that have meaning and that I think might fit the first 5. Feel free to change them to your liking! What you associate with names is certainly very different from person to person, so a good modding feature that will hopefully be included in the next update.

I have not yet check copyright of all but I avoid anything that product from creative content of anything from last century already.
@Slingers, please help me crosschecking. If you find any name feel odd, out of place, or repeat, please tell me.

When I think it again. I think concept of "no repeat hero ID" might be better as start game rule rather than setting in modding.ini. This might be alright rule for smaller game with fewer wizards if unmodded. It would lead to competition of collecting fame to attract more hero. So I think it might works as game rule set at campaign start. Disband hero (disband botton/fail to pay upkeep/confusion spell) or hero of defeated wizard that not get kill would back to common pool along with their exp and available to join other wizards. For conflict with Resurrection spell, either dead hero does not free the ID (counted as dead until ressurrect) for other wizard or resurrection would fail if hero already join other wizard (false demise) might be alright?
Can we buff Bless' damage resisting capabilities? Currently, it provides so little extra defense against Chaos and Death damage spells that it effectively may as well not exist. Bless is honestly little more than an inferior version of Resist Magic, at this point. Which is rather sad to say, considering Life should be the best counter to those two realms, and this is a spell specifically designed for that in the early game.
