Well snake pick thoughts!

I need to be really lucky to get what I want. I'm really annoyed at being last for both the draft and the snake-pick, I'm really worried we'll end up with something crap.

My dream combination would be Gilgamesh (Crea/Prot) of Arabia. It has synergy with cheap Madrassas and as the only creative leader available, would dominate early border fights if the map is cramped.

I would be surprised if Gilgamesh is available by the time it gets to us.

Second optimum combo is Hammurabi (Agg/Org) of Sumeria. It has synergy with the cheap courthouse replacement and the stronger axeman will work well with Aggressive. One promo away from negating the downside.

After that I would want something like Hammurabi/Genghis of Vikings/Khmer

If Arabia is available, but not Gilgamesh, the only other leader I may consider is Saladin as I do like spiritual quite a lot. Only spiritual leader means only player never to have to worry about anarchy. I can get an early religion with Mysticism start, convert immediately - churn out a quick great prophet with the Madrassa's and perhaps the henge or Oracle contributing and have a quick shrine.

This is my prediction on what 5 choices will be made before I get to pick:

1) Gilgamesh
2) Sumeria
3) Greece
4) Hammurabi
5) Khmer

This is anti-synergy. Org usually saves you 60 hammers per courthouse. But Org only saves you 45 hammers per Ziggurat.

I'd give you some advice, but I have to admit I didn't really understand the picks and which are still available...

This is anti-synergy. Org usually saves you 60 hammers per courthouse. But Org only saves you 45 hammers per Ziggurat.

While the discounts don't help each other out, the easier availability of the Ziggurat does synergize with the discount from organized. How useful that is I can't say.
