Iowa is going down the route of Florida apparently. Kim Reynolds is a dumbass.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

This time I'm going to ask for a specific example. There are a lot of issues with Iowa (FYI I was born there)

Basically anything Florida is doing, Reynolds is trying to do as well. Typical far right republican stuff: anti woman/pro earlier working hours for kids/cutting EBT/Abortion banning/defunding schools. Shit like that.

ITS ABOUT TIME. Trump finally is getting charged over 2020 election.
I'll read through more later, but this stuck out as relevant especially the discussions with the justice department.
Quote:The indictment says Trump lied and echoed false claims of election fraud, despite repeated warnings from multiple people in his circle, those "whom he relied" on for "candid advice".
The list includes:
Vice-President Mike Pence, who "told [Trump] he had seen no evidence of outcome-determinative fraud"
Senior leaders of the Justice Department appointed by Trump, told him on "multiple occasions" that his fraud allegations were unsupported
Senior White House attorneys appointed by Trump, told him "that his presidency would end on Inauguration Day in 2021"
The indictment says Trump had been informed directly that his claims were not true and he knowingly repeated the lies to "interfere with others' right to vote", one of the three conspiracy charges he faces.
Let me be clear I don't care a damn about other charges against Trump, this is the one I have been waiting on.

There's a real chance this is the first case to trial, too. This case also doesn't rely on classified documents which would have slowed down the MAL case even if Judge Cannon wasn't the one running that courtroom (her schedule definitely has some unnecessary delays built into a few spots, not enough to ask for a different judge but a more assertive judge could've easily set a trial date that was earlier in 2024 - and been less helpful when Trump found new excuses to slow things down, like the constant inability to find local lawyers or to respond to the gov't motions in a timely fashion).
The judge he drew, Chutkan, has handed down some of the toughest sentences against J6 defendants and will move trials on the quicker side. From Trump's perspective, if Cannon was the best judge he could've gotten for MAL, Chutkan is one of the toughest he could've gotten for this case - and yes this trial is absolutely staying in DC, basically everything Trump did occurred in DC.

Georgia is the one I'm looking forward to, and the one I have the most hope for.

Shockingly if you want to make Taiwan grade semi conductors you might need to bring in people with experience setting up those facilities. But politics is never about what makes sense.
