We have already established China, Russia, NKorea, are all evil. I gave you that so you can move on without having to use whataboutism, many posts ago. And yet you still trying to justify your evil deeds with it in every post there after - even when you were agreeing to drop it. So Weak!  alright

I don't blame you for not wanting to step outside of your comfort zone, it's not a easy thing. Anyway, I've said my piece. I still have hopes in humanity.

Sorry for the disruption. Carry on, boys.

Until next time smile

I have never tried to justify anything the US has done. I have freely admitted to it at every turn. I have never denied evidence unlike you. I'm glad you admitted China was, because from my perspective that isn't what it sounded like or at least were trying to equate. That was my only problem was the equating.

I also still have hopes in humanity.

Never thought the guy I used to label "CIA spook" would be the most sensible in this thread.

When did you call me a CIA spook mischief?

Did the US election just turn into Trump trying to convince voters that RFK "has a disturbing background steeped in radical, liberal positions" and Biden trying to convince voters RFK really isn't a Kennedy?

Darrell

Not really. It'll turn on either Trump's criminal cases, or Israel/Ukraine/god forbid Taiwan. 3rd party support is always overstated this far out.

RFK's money is about to dry up, because it's all coming from the RW who thought that he could successfully challenge Biden from the "left", and they just realized that he's actually getting some of their supporters. He doesn't have the grassroots support to make up for it.

Small sample size caveat and all that - but for a number of reasons I know a lot of politically active people on the Dem/left side of things - I don't know a single real life lefty, or even real evidence online, of anyone engaged who actually earnestly supports RFK - versus when Bernie was running for the nomination both times I knew plenty, one of whom was even a high-ranking staffer for the campaign. Nor do I know any Cornel West supporters, for that matter. RFK might get some super low-info voters - possibly from both sides - but it's way more likely that he doesn't have an actual impact than he does.

There's a massive difference between settlers building a country from scratch and immigrants showing up to an immensely developed and powerful state of 350 million a few centuries later.
Also, in response to your question of "who are you to deny others the right to come here?" - why can't it be based on pure self-interest? I think that quite a lot of fairly recent Hispanic immigrants are anti-immigration for this simple motivation. If you choose to leave Latin America and move to the US, of course the very last thing you want is for the rest of Latin America to follow you. You just tried to escape from them! Also, the Founding Fathers explicitly espoused white nationalism and even specifically Anglo-Saxon superiority, so they would've disagreed with this anachronistic "nation of [generic] immigrants" idea.

I feel neglected. I prefer autocracies because only an autocrat can relegate the priest caste (journalists, NGOs, social media algorithms, university professors etc. in modern parlance) and the merchant caste (lobbyists and such) to their proper role as humble advisors. Only an autocrat could transcend the vast array of special interests and mistaken received wisdoms which have built up like barnacles on Western Civilisation. Politics is factional conflict, and it's better for this conflict to be brought to a conclusion once each generation, rather than power being split, leading to the current stagnation. Democracy is only good for securing bourgeios liberties, but the duties of the state can extend well beyond this remit. An autocrat can be persuaded to change his mind, and he is accountable to his conscience. A "ruling class", a whole group of people, is an unpersuadable beast.

The real problem with Trump is that he refuses to play his the revolutionary role set out for him by destiny, which damns America to another generation of decay until the next potential autocrat comes along. He continues to believe in democracy. If he wanted to actually defeat to Deep State, he would have to activate his hordes of loyal, well-armed followers to start executing traitors, for example:
Jonathan Greenblatt, who openly opposes the First Amendment of the Constitution, should be executed for treason against the state.
Intelligence agents who fabricated the Russia Collusion narrative should be executed for treason, including Lisa Page and Peter Strzok.
Intelligence agents who fabricated the "Russia paying Taliban bounties" hoax should be executed for treason.
The bureaucrats who disobeyed Trump's Syria pullout order should be executed for treason.
The agents who wiretapped Trump Tower under the Obama Administration should be executed for treason.
The agents who fabricated the original Iraq WMDs hoax decades ago should be executed for treason.
etc., these are just off the top of my head

This filth will never be purged under democracy, Only a King can protect the peasants from the elite class.

It's a damn shame that he escaped justice by killing himself with yet another drug overdose instead. American police shouldn't stop killing until all homeless, drug addicts, pornographers, burglars and such are gone.

Billions of people would agree with you, including myself of course.

I had to keep repeating that because no one (since the why not free canada, free us discussion) said that, and I wasn't going to let them distract throwing out all their red herring and strawman. Their tactic was, all along, trying to drag other nations in the fold so they don't have to face the music. I wasn't going to let them get away with their hypocrisy, double standard, even though they keep moving the goal post.

So I played the devil's advocate and let them do some Russia, China (etc.) bashing, as if I care. I am just happy I got some great confessions out of them while they try their whataboutism tactics.

They still avoided answering the simple question (with their self righteousness) why we don't free us. There are a few arguments one can make against that but they would have to drop all their pretense of moral high ground. The most sorry excuse, while still avoiding to answer the question, is what we did to the Natives and Iraqis (etc.) is America's past - further denying their grief. There are plenty surviving victims.

I hope it didn't escape anyone, that his idea to compensate for the atrocities is....

At minimal for both Iraq and Afghanistan we should probably accept anyone that helped us as immigrants.

LoL. In other words, fck the victims, lets protect and break out their traitors to escape justice.

Still, I am satisfied to have gotten (almost) a full confession from Mjmd of us crimes. I will let you have some fun defending autocracies. Watch out for red herrings, it gets slippery  popcorn
