First of all, the F9 screenies
below is the capital. Not a great city, in dire need of workers, population, health and workshops. Will get Drafted
Dunmanifestin, shit hole of the empire, but good for a buck or two. Will get Drafted
Lancre, one of my few decent cities, 2 turn Cav production facility. Will not get drafted and is slow growing upwards, getting drafted as a last resort.
Third city, real shit hole, will get drafted or build workers to chop faster military. Or, more likely, both. And shrink down to pop 5 before regrowing on Bio boosted farms...
Klatch, former front city to Portugal, Now likely draft site and Cav producer, and Cannons...needs worker attention and Bio. Nice city, but low quality.
Newish city that just doesn;t have enough food to grow and needs workers (seeing a theme here?)
Next two Screenshots are of The Kneck, in growth and hammer mode. Next turn I'll set it to all hammers, turn after it gets a windmill and maxes out at 30 hpt, 37 with the forge. Just capable of 3 turn Rifles, shouldn;t get drafted unless india marches and then it gets drafted every turn until it falls or India fucks off home again.
Bad Ass, soon to get drafted into oblivion because of low pop, decentish food, and highish happy cap.
Tsort, basically really crap city that needs 4 dedicated workers and 50 turns of peace. Will never amount to anything except a cheap way to spawn bust barbs
The rest are newly spammed cities with 2 workers apiece. The 2 settlers currently being built will found 2 more cities, north of Copperhead and Koom Valley. And no, I don't have any workers for them.
Here is the new front city to Portugal, 4 turns after founding. I didn't have to raze Strand, because of the border pop, but I figured it'd make for good storytelling.

Emailed this to my Sub...you guys can guess who it is, see if you are right...
And 2000 words and I did no details. Stupid
Quote:Hey ...,
Thanks for doing this for me, I owe you one. The last page, maybe 2, has the update about my cities from this turn (we've been paused because some arsehole has quit because I razed his front city and he "doesn't care about the game enough to play properly"). The first 30 posts explains me aims from this game (because they are rather nonstandard)
Login data: sunrise089.gotdns.com:2062
Password to me civ, Gandhi of Egypt: Good luck me giving you this. The Theme is basically discworld, by Terry Pratchett: city guardsfor workers, places on the map for cities (I have 2 settlers built, they can both reach the two city locations marked on the map at the same time, so no worry about there MM). You can take a look at the game whenever you want
I also have an email address set up for this game, new.mail.stoarge@gmail.com, password is snipped and it has all of the diplomacy from the game sent there. Basically, we just engineered a switch in the alliances, so this is how it is set up now:
Allies: (called PAT...the original alliances were called CAN and CANT (yeah I was a bitch...), for the large 10 player alliance and the 7 reject teams, then we split them, and it became the post-CAN situation, post-MAN PAT as the kids programme goes)...
Sury of England (Cyneheard), basically a great guy, I've bounced a couple of ideas off him, he is a solid ally. If you gift gold to him every turn, you know it'll get sorted and you won;t have to worry about who needs it. He will shortly be the western neighbour (we chariot rushed France around t80 along with HRE, knocked him out with 5 chariots and a WC...and the France player was Morgan from Cav. Just deserts, me thinks). Basically, if something comes up, and you need to get an opinion from someone who has been in the game a long time, ask him...we have a plan to go kill Portugal as well, but it was very rough at the time. He is a funder, he owes me a Great Prophet, once he delivers that he will cancel the 20 gpt gift he gave me (gift was basically to make my GNP look respectable, we are funding and sharing tech so whoever had the gold didn't really matter for PAT).
Pacal of Carthage (ShoottheMoon) Decent guys, been quite quiet, I saved him during an invasion by India (the Big Bad), so I think he is still quite trusting of me and won't backstab. Along with England, we are basically a "three" within an alliance that want to stay together to keep each other safe. He is a techer, pretty good one about to breach 450 bpt. I sold him a city site for 3 workers, settler for 2 workers, we've worked well together.
Ragnar of Maya: (Maniac Marshall) Best techers in the game, pushing 550 bpt at max, never had a war since razed Indias copper city with a sole chariot in the early game (a situation which I basically manipulated...) Are about to draft around 40 rifles and really fuck someone up. Most likely civ to win the game, not particularly close diplowise, and has already approached me about the next allliance split (does not want to be left out in the cold). Still, anyone can fund him and need his teching ability.
Huayna of Mali (Swiss Pauli): Joint second best techers with Carthage, at war with Inca, just artist bombed the front city they captured, are about to get a second GS after their Taj/MoM powered Combo (again, my suggestion for those wonders), and squeeze Inca from the north and fuck over Rome if the chance occurs. Don't piss them off, they are probably the only team in the row below us that I have any chance of getting onto my side in the next phase of the game.
Pericles of Babylon (Kyan, Whoseit): really unlucky start, didn't see both food so moved away from it and hence had a bad start. Got an early academy and were decent early techers, now funders, no real enemies, they've kept their part of hte world peaceful through diplomacy which I'm now trying to destabilize. now likely to start any wars, but need to be persuaded to keep Indias' attention to the north along with Maya. Basically, not a world power economically, but they have the strings...
New additions:
Zara of Ottomans (Ad hoc, WarriorKnight, Pegasus, someone else) Fourth best techers (5th in the game), decent guys that think logically but not the best civ players in the world, but they know and accept that, which means they don;t generally do anything stupid. That has to be respected, because they haven't really left any openings to exploit either. close allies with HRE, a partnership I never expect to break, but also a partnership I don't really have a problem with because with them to our north, it guards England, Carthage and myself to the north (not quite all of me though). We got split in the last swap around because Ottomans were looking to expand massively and fuck yup their tech (which, truth be told, they did not actually do...) and the ethos of PAT was that we only wanted good techers and funders (I got let in because I was decent and I set it up, and I wasa defensive lynchpin on the map). Respectable players, unlike most. Have 50 turn NAP with them
Mehmed of HRE (Illios): He was part of the French conquest team, and now part of the Portugal hit squad. easy guy to get along with, knows the ropes, has expanded well (even ignoring his UB, he did well). Will shortly be NW neighbour if Portugal goes down, which I expect them to...at least, lose a couple more cities. If there is another alliance swap, and I think their will be, I think HRE and England, and myself, will be at the core of it. He will be a great funder, and has GT draft city set up, so everyone else has to be wary around him. Have 50 turn NAP with them
And the enemies:
Willem of Portugal (someone): a bit retarded diplomatically, were formerly run by a complete retard, had 1 war against rome and lost 7 chariots taking out a single spear defending the iron city, then lost their front city to rome. declared peace, and sat building ever since. have a good GNP, MFG, better crop yield than myself, but now have enemies on 3 sides and will shortly be drafting himself stupid thus removing himself from the game as an important player. I am currently at war, and i have offered a white peace deal to him, but I don;t know if hte new player will take it or not. Regardless of that, I want you to send a settler (one of the new ones just built to a specific tile on the map and try to found a city there asap and push culture). There are workers in the area, You have Cav, a GG, cats, pikes, couple of LB and can send drafted rifles to the area to fortify it. Basically, play defense in the area, but get that city, and defense becomes a lot easier.
Rome and Inca: complete nonentities, can consider them AI that can defend as far as I am concerned.
Nappy of Aztecs(Ruff): Has the Buddist shrine, using that as a carrot to get Maya and Ottomans to invade him. If you can, send a mall stack of Cav to help, and raze the city if you get a chance, leaving me with 4 shrines, maybe 5, and England with one, as the only shrines in the game. Other than that, no idea about Aztecs. But they can draft once every 5 turns instead of once every 10 because of the UB, so emergency whipping isn;t that bad to them.
Bismark of India (sunrise, sooooo, checked out players: darrell and regoarrarr) Big bad. Wiped out Sumeria at my bidding to take out the only other player teching alphabet. grew large. Invaded Carthage with HA stack mainly gifted to them. Traded units with them while worker baiting (came out ahead by about 60% on hammers investedin dead units, and all my lost units were a worker, pike, LB and a load of WC). Around #1 in crop yield, high in power so can easily draft a huge army and slave cannons. Beware them. Need to defend Ottomans from India as well as my front city of The Kneck. If you get a decent chance to capture and hold the Indian front city on the cheap, take it, but don;t lose too many units unless you can hold it. It is a collapsible front city, not much invested in it...but if you can fork that city and the Indian city behind it you might get it cheap. sunrise is a good MP player, he knows the basics, but never really thinks outside the box. But here is the thing. I don't want him crippled. I might need India to be in one piece to act as a speed bump later on.
Odd man Out:
Hannibal of Byz (Bob): the Switzerland of the game, is currently giving gold to India, but that will change once England approaches him and asks him to join, I think. I have an NAP with no set length but 10 turn cool down. Also, have a settling agreement with him which means we don't settle any more cities south towards him. Friends with Babylon and Maya, been very antagonistic towards me in the beginning but decided to stop trying to piss me off when he figured it probably wasn't in his best interests. He will be planting a city next to my borders shortly, so don;t worry providedhe settles on the noted tile.
So, those are the remaining teams, excluding myself...
Gandhi of Egypt (Krill). owner of 4 holy cities and 1 shrine. Captured 2 capitals (eliminating one player with a warrior). Has basically been on war footing since turn 80, and traded for BW instead of researching it. Built Oracle by hand in 15 turns for Alphabet to enable a massive back trading of ancient era techs. Sent 1 WC which captured the French Capital at 40% odds after France popped a copper, the turn that they lost their front city which had their at that time only copper, to England. Is about to finish settling owned lands in France, and due to SPI needs to be revolting at least twice every 20 turns to really make use of civics. Seriously lacks workers, so I suggest you place the cities Sto Lat and Ankh-Morpork onto constant worker duty...you can also consider Serfdom when Steam Power is in for double speed workers. Does not want to use many cottages, workshops, farms and water mills where possible are orders of the day. The Kneck is hte IW city, when things calm down, the forges have been built and farms replaced with water mills. Lancre is the NE city, can do 2 turn Cav, probably best to leave it on those for the time being...Bad Ass is basically acrap city, so don;t worry about drafting that 2 or 3 times consecutively for a few extra rifles...other than that, knock yourself out.
Oh, and if I don't get to play the next turn, the best civics to revolt to are: HR/NationHood/Slavery or Serfdom/Free Market/Theocracy. Don;t hesitate to draft acouple of rifles from various cities, but this is a very food poor map, so I'm hesitant to say draft a lot and incredibly hesitent to even say slave at all...I have thesecond best MFG in the game, soon to be the best when you put the Kneck onto allof hte hills and stop its growth
Krill.

I fly in 13 yours. I want to go to sleep within the next 4. The game is currently paused. It will likely be paused for a week because Carthage lined up a sub that went AWOL.

Yup, 1 month pretty much. I might have access to an internet cafe at some point, but for all intents and purposes I'm out of contact.
RE:Diplo, some people seem to expect it, and think that I'm up to something when I'm not. Problem is, they are usually right because I'm always up to something.
