We'd need someone to be able to do that. Right now, we don't have anyone. But if there's a volunteer, I'd be happy to try. If restarting proves worthwhile, we could have some lurker login to all 5 accounts and follow instructions to "catch us up" more quickly. But it's all moot without another person able to host.


I wonder if there's a turn order effect in here somewhere.

Hate to be that guy, I know we had a rocky start and it might take a few turns to settle into the rhythm, but if we aren't going to make 1 turn/day, it would be best for me to be replaced

Yeah I am, I just am reliant on the pbspy email notifications to actually log in, or else I check pbspy when I take another Civ turn. I must’ve missed it this time. Feel free to poke me on discord if it’s been more than 12 hours, I have phone notifs enabled there too

I reached out to Zulan to see if he can do any troubleshooting. I think there's a very high chance this all side effects of loading from a PBEM save. I'm concerned issues like this will kill the game eventually. I think we need to consider trying to relaunch the game proper from T0, as painful as that is.


If we did this, is there any global lurker that would be open to replaying the first 6 turns from everyone if provided instructions? It seems plausible enough given no barbs, islands, and just a scout move and build/tech queues. I'm just trying to think of a way to rescue this, and that seems like the fastest way.
