hmm... i do not consider myself a champion dotmapper exactly but maybe something like this?
it's denser than i usually like, but it sounds like we don't expect this game to go that late so i guess that's probably fine. at least it accomplishes the 2 main goals of a) don't waste a bunch of tiles and b) don't make any city sit around waiting for a monument before the food is online....
basically yellow dot looks mandatory unless we want to waste rice... green dot also looks pretty forced as we want the silver online as quickly as we can reasonably manage and that's the only food in the area. so if green dot takes the crab, the city on the island where blue dot is must take the clam if we want it to have any food.... probably for the best as i'm guessing we don't actually want to settle on ivory... blue dot can't get settled until the capital borders pop around t51, but i think we want to settle it not long after that to get PRO ICTRs up. then for orange/red, i originally had them as one city SW of the deer but that wastes a ton of water tiles in the east.... well, depending on how many of them are ice which isn't fully scouted. but red reclaims those and get the deer + plains hill, although it could be moved south depending on what is down there (i just didn't want to put it on a tile in the fog lol). then orange is really bad filler but at least it has a lighthouse lake and can borrow the capital corn.....
not sure what order we would want to do these in though.... i guess yellow has the best snowball as it is the only one that can theoretically work more than one food, and as a moai candidate maybe it's worth some prioritization. i guess green would want to be fairly early too since it needs a border pop for the silver, and blue for the ICTRs....
tbh i'm kinda wondering if there might be better spots on the islands than any of these.... i guess we need to get out a scouting work boat pretty quickly, not sure HOW quickly though....
also of note: we do NOT have many eligible spots for horse/copper and orange dot occupies one of them.... but if a resource does appear there than the dotmap is REALLY fucked
i guess that's a good reason to delay settling the red/orange area though, assuming we're getting both techs fairly early
