There's only one spot that gets both the ivory and the fish, 2SW1S. That spot would block off any city on this main island that gets the clam in the bottom left corner. It would also mean waiting 5 turns for the borders to pop for the fish with no good tile to work. My gut would be to settle two cities that have the fish and clam+ivory first ring. I will make an image with a dotmap later today when I have time
Orange dot is the city you described that would get both the fish and ivory. This would block off any city for the clams except on the plains hill one tile island. Yellow dot gets just the fish, but allows for two potential cities for the clam + ivory. Green dot is on the river, while purple dot has the second ring corn that would need a galley to be improved. I'm not sure on green vs purple, but I do think yellow is the way to go over orange. This start may have only ivory for early happy, but it sure does have tundra marble. Oracle for MC->Colossus doesn't really make sense given that the wonder is banned. Great Library also feels redundant given that we're already playing America. Maybe Temple of Artemis might be worth it? |
