This start may have only ivory for early happy, but it sure does have tundra marble.

Oracle for MC->Colossus doesn't really make sense given that the wonder is banned. Great Library also feels redundant given that we're already playing America. Maybe Temple of Artemis might be worth it?

In the absence of other ideas, Artemis seems like a fine goal.

That's a nice copper location.

Is there a good time to squeeze out a scouting work boat? Ideally we would want to know where superdeath is, I suspect he will be the most likely player to go for early war.

I'd rather take the gamble that he'd attack someone else!

With Silk, Incense, and Sugar all being present near the capital, I am rethinking possible Oracle plans. Maybe oracling Calendar might be viable? Since it would double for happiness and enabling a MoM run. On the other hand, it doesn't seem like there is a good city for chopping out oracle. City #2 and the capital both have 4 forests at most.

On the other other hand, I am not sure happiness will be that big of a deal early on, because there are not a lot of good tiles to work early. Lots of dry cottages and grass hill mines

I'm ambivalent and don't really have any plans. What would the alternative to Oracle-Calendar be, anyway?
Is Great Library a good idea because of PHI?

Oracle - Monarchy gives happiness and early serfdom (not good on this kind of map). Oracle - metal casting gives early forges. Oracle - math is an option for turning a bunch of forest chops into mids simultaneously, but probably unrealistic to pull off.

Great Library would give us a ton of scientists with PHI. Might be good just because there isn't any comparable boost to science with GLH / Colossus banned.

The city layout so far seems good and well developed. I would think the highest priority is getting out some galleys and settling some cities off the home island, if we are not going oracle. Each island city brings in some very nice intercontinental trade routes.

is there any particular reason math is being teched? Just going for currency ASAP? It's not a bad path, just not sure if that is the goal.

We need Calendar, right?

How about using GS in 5 turnsd to get Mathematics, while stocking up on gold to fund 100% rtesearch in calendar thereafter?
