I was curious so I logged in. Left some notes.
Assuming you had already planned on whipping the capital. Only Time has plenty of happy cap and you don't have a settler ready so don't see the need for a galley before a granary. And while I love granaries I think since you sent a work boat to scout should chop out the workboat and then 4>2 whip granary in Madrid.

That all sounds reasonable, and yes, the cap was going to whip the gran. I swapped to a galley so it would be ready in time for a settler. I don't want to fall behind on cities.
Unfortunately, we're in the tail-end of a heatwave here, and my AC broke a couple days ago, so I haven't been able to pay as much attention to this game as I would have liked. It's cooling off now, so I'll spend some more time this turn planning out the next few turns.

What was your plan for the chop at Only Time? If you whip granary you can put chop into a galley. If galley isn't ready naturally I don't hate a 1 pop whip on galley to get it out in time. That is kind of the thing this combo can do especially with extra happy from monument.

I was thinking I would whip the gran and chop into galley, and start a settler in the cap once it's grown to size 5.

Red or White?
Superdeath is down to the south, and we'll probably end up sharing this island.
White is more defensible, but I think Red is a better overall city.
Also, I'm not all that up to speed on bulb paths, so I'm not entirely sure what the Prophet is going to be used for. Mjmd, I think you had a plan for that?

My plan was to go med before writing if it was still available and shrine. Was hoping people would avoid med because it blocks astro bulb path. If its taken don't know if you want to detour all the way to mono. You could settle the first prophet. Long pay back period makes it ok and helps get to currency.
I like white for double food and plains hill plant, but then try to get another city out super fast to go NW of the gem clam. Another option would be to go west of the pig later and now just go settle ON the hill gem now especially if you have an archer out already and a work boat. In general I would try to make all your whips settlers atm and whip them as often as possible. Might need 1 more galley in a little bit, but for next couple cities 1 should be fine.

Oh yeah, we lost Buddhism, fortunately I only put a couple turns into it before. I like settling tbh, I'll probably do that. I don't yet have an archer, I plan to send the scout over to that island with the settler and come back for an archer. I didn't see any unit of SD on the island with the WB scout so hopefully it's ok.

Depending on how many turns the archer will be behind I kind of like settling for the pig first. Also, if you don't have a work boat yet? Pig would also get one of the workers doing something again as I imagine they have run out of useful things to do.
I would probably loop the scouting work boat back around. Either to scout more immediate territory or to use as a net somewhere.

Well, I'm going to die soon, and not undeserved, I haven't played my best. Keeping up with the turns was pretty much all I could do right now with the irl things happening.
HOWEVER, I was keeping up with everyone else with my GDP, food, population, etc at the beginning of the game, but I seemed to run out of places to expand to way before everyone else. Did everyone just expand towards me, cutting me off from islands the map-makers thought I would get? Or did I just mess up my own expansion?
Was I "supposed" to get the islands circled and I lost a race to them?
