Question: How did you install the wrapper ?
Did you only copied the .exe ? If yes, this explains it. YOu need to unzip the zip again - there are a few other .dll files in the zip.

I unzipped everything, exactly how I did it before. It actually managed to log in once but every other time stalled after I choose civ and input password.

Has there been any progress on the pbspy issue? Managed to do a bad misclick that sets me back a few turns on an already precarious position. Will roll with it if not, no need to delay the game.
