PB75: Superdeath forced to play

My assumption was always that mmjd was paying attention to my graphs and would start whipping if I ever did. Most of the game I never had any military techs up on anyone.

I guess thats fair, but it would have taken away from some of his peaceful end-game wonder building. banghead

Glad to put a reason to it, and even a reason that makes some sense. Now if i could just get someone else to come in here and answer for his crimes.

ive tried to signal Multiple times to every other party that mjmd needs to be dealt with, and that im not capable of doing anything more than slowing him down. IDK wtf happened between Ginger and zulu, because i havent had eyes over there in a very long time, but just judging based on previous wars, Gingers ... attitude in the tech thread, and the HUGE fact that zulu cut them off from doing any non-boat related war... makes them 99% likely to never trust/not go to war with each other. Maybe MAYBE (the 1%) once Mjmd rolls thru me, they will make a last ditch effort? Maybe? I have/had 2 separate ideas to try and stop the monster Mjmd. One of those ideas is being completely neutered by Nauf refusing to open borders. Making my commando factory basically fucking useless. The second idea is to get Mjmd to no longer have tech vis, and beeline Astro and try and raze as many coastal cities as i can in 1t. Its an idea, especially with commando units, but man. Why do i have to be the only one trying to stop someone from straight up winning. Nauf is checked out, zulu/ginger are going to knock each other out of the running, scooter is being euthanized, and ive been behind in tech the entire game.. Ever since Gavagai attacked me unprovoked instead of eating the easiest prey ever, pre-rifles mjmd. I swear, i could have walked over Mjmd with barely more than what i killed Ricky with for most of the game. But no (and yes i will keep repeating this until i get Gavagai's honest answer) GAVAGAI HAD TO ATTACK AN EQUAL OR GREATER POWER rather than smash Mjmd and take the entire empire.

Then there is you. You.... you. Why didnt you ever militarize and take over the wonder spamming no unit Mjmd empire? Im actually quite curious.  neenerneener

Did you ever saw Mjmd's military during the time before our war? Or you just rely on his power graph in your statements?

Briefly tbf, but mostly from the power graph. Judging from the power graph, he still had less power than what i was keeping at Nauf's border during our entire war-series. So, i still dont really get why u didnt go after him.

His army entirely consisted of spears, a massive amount of them. Does not look like much on the power graph but a very inconvinient foe for someone who relies on horse archers and war chariots. To fight him I would need to build an entirely new army and to attempt it was pointless because he would notice and build a more diverse force in return. His economy was always stronger than mine, I could not win an arms race, so I did not even try.

Hrmm. Still feel it would have been a better option than fighting AGG rome?

I deleted my response because spoilers. Probably irrelevant by this point but still.

Ended up posting my response in my thread so that it would be easy for you to find it after the game ends. It will probably get buried if I leave it in the lurker thread.

I look forward to reading it :D

If you're talking about the turn I think, my best odds were like 20% unfortunately, so I had no real choice. I mean, I could have flung units into him I guess, but I think that would have helped him even more by speeding things up. I think he reinforced and/or some units march-healed or something, I dunno. Either that or my hitters just sucked too much at that stage. It was generally tough to coordinate due to the funky turn order.
