Turn 53 and Turn 54 – 1880 BC and 1840 BC
Two cities in the Top 5!
.
I did not take any good screenshots of Turn 53, sorry.
The Barbarian by Unalaska moved adjacent to Unalaska and did not attack our exploring Warrior.
Another Barbarian appeared 2SE of Juneau and 2NE of Anchorage. Bad timing for us!
I moved another Warrior into Unalaska, so there were two Warriors and it was safe. And the exploring Warrior moved to the Banana too.
Juneau’s Warrior moved 1SE to try to bait the other Barbarian Warrior into attacking and dying (hill and river advantage for us).
To keep Juneau and Anchorage safe no matter what the new Barbarian did, I started training a Chariot in Juneau. So on Turn 54 Anchorage could whip a Spearman or Juneau could whip a Chariot.
Barbarian Warrior by Unalaska attacked our Warrior on the Banana and died. Our Warrior was badly wounded, so he will need to heal for 5 turns in Unalaska.
The other Barbarian moved 1SW towards Anchorage. Dang it!
I had no choice but to whip the Spearman in Anchorage. And the two healthy Warriors in Unalaska moved to Anchorage. They can help if the Barbarian does not attack the Spearman and die.
I still cannot think of a better way to solve this problem. It should be fine next turn.
We can see Miro’s Chinese culture across the water.
And we can see that the land south of Unalaska is an island. That is good for trade routes when we settle it. But the Pig is not in our culture. That tile is more than 2 tiles from Unalaska’s continent, so Unalaska’s culture cannot spread to it. That restricts where we can settle on the island. Not too bad, though.
There is also another island in the far west. That could be good for trade routes later.
Oh, and I deleted some of the dots. Thank you, Tarkeel.
And the Workers finished the Cow and went to Ivory.
A Barbarian City appeared up here. On a hill. I do not know if they have Archers or Warriors for defenders. Probably Warriors, but we should go see. And we should go see the northern fog. I don’t know what unit to send, or when to send it, but the Wheat could have another resource close to it and be a great city site.
Lastly: the Worker in Unalaska should probably move west to build Roads for the Settler to use in a few turns.
And Anchorage should make a Workboat after the Spearman, of course. The Workboat can meet Miro and explore the south water if it is finished early enough.
I will say more on later turns.
