The real problem with nuclear warfare is not that nukes are in any way broken objectively but that any fighting involving them is incredibly tactically complex in a way some people (me) absolutely hate. Spending hours each turn just on anti-nuke unit positioning is hardly a fun thing to do.

I don't think Ljubljana has made up his mind, but sounds like he would not be averse to the game ending?
EDIT: Called it! ljubljana Wrote:to be honest, right now at this moment, i kinda want the game to be over
I'd like Ljub in particular and preferably also Nauf to be slightly more direct about wanting this to be over before calling it.
Agreed. SD is extremely tilted, understandably so, but still. C'mon.
I Think I'm Gwangju Like It Here
A blog about my adventures in Korea, and whatever else I feel like writing about.
ICBMs hitting Great People and National Wonders is probably a bit too punishing from a player morale perspective. But this also highlights Mjmd's edge in experience with the late game from PB66 and other games, recognizing that Kremlin + Cristo Redentor whips is a decisive advantage in ICBM production, especially combined with corporations.
I disagree whipping ICBMs is a good idea, even with Kremlin and corps. Mjmd is only getting away with this because there is no other even remotely equal power able to challenge him. I really don't want this game to serve as a case study of ICBM efficiency.
It doesn't feel right posting this in Ljub's thread, but I'm pretty sure he's not aware that forts can also house aircraft.
