I'll try to get to a nuke discussion in PB75 soon, but tldr I think I have the most CtH experience with nukes at the moment and I think they are fine.
I think PB59 or PB66 are better places to look at nukes than PB75.

I think the nuke conversation is difficult because "unbalanced" and "unfun" are different things and people aren't always discussing the same thing.
From my POV, nukes - particularly ICBMs - are so unfun that I do not care at all about a conversation of whether they are balanced or not.

I have no personal experience to draw on, but the unfun argument is pretty persuasive.
Also Superdeath at least expressed some strong opinions about participating in another game with nukes, so best have the discussion now to set expectations.

To try to keep the nuke discussion to one thread for now (not saying it can't come back here later), I have put up some points in the PB75 lurker thread where I think its more relevant.

Apologies for the delay, here is the voting spreadsheet (which Mjmd kindly made). Will update the first post.
I hope to have a crack at the map tonight.

Things that needs to be decided:
Difficulty: 3 votes each for EMP and MON, 1 abstain and one blank
Barbs: 3 for No, 1 yes, 2 no ships/cities and 2 no ships. Think "no ships" would be a fair compromise here.
Start acceleration matters, and if we go for worker+tech it was suggested that Byzantium might need a ban.

Clarification: in this context does “additional tech” mean any tech, or just a 3rd starting tech like we did in PB78? I’ve been assuming the later, but I don’t think I’ve seen it specified.

Third starting tech, like in PB78

Ill play in this PB regardless, as i signed up for it b4 the nukes went a flying (mostly my way ) But yes, in future games ill probably actually maybe quite possibly say no to joining them if nukes arent banned/nerfed more.
Like, if there was a way for nukes to have like a 1t warning to them hitting a tile? Making them more City Busters than Entire-stack wipers. /shrug
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Difficulty and barbs have been decided, but there's not been that much input in acceleration, so unless there's some heavy protests I'll set it to first-row tech tomorrow. Hope to have the starts out during the weekend, so if someone could kindly roll us a snake.
As for starts, there were two players that us lurkers was ever so slightly undecided about where to place, so the one that is on the veteran continent has the best start there, and the one on the green continent has the most challenging start. The differences are still marginal, and the starts are generally balanced.
