[PB79] MirOh No, what am I doing?

Your drafted muskets will come with a promotion now as well. And ya not a lot of transports luckily. Amphibious grens can still be pretty nasty if he has them. Still I think you can hunker down while crash building a navy. You might lose a city or two, but try to keep all the important ones.

You'll be first in turn order, so he may not know about the whipped SoL from mechs (assuming its well garrisoned). Feel free to take out a galley if it isn't guarded. Save your promos to heal after.

Corporation yields is the one spot I wouldn't trust the Civopedia. The numbers are adjusted inversely proportional to map size, so you should start a sim with the correct size to see what the exact yields you get are.

Still no war. Xist moved 2 tiles closer to my island Telestrations, but will need to DoW this turn to get any closer. He could also wait 1 turn for his Galleys to get in range of unloading T185. He was last to play T183 and logged out at turn roll, so T184 war seems clear this turn.

I upgraded my Axe on the island to a Grenadier and I have 5 SoL + 3 Frigates in the area to fight his 7 SoL + 5 Frigates, but I'll wait a few turns for more SoL.

I put my 1 SoL (Mechs v Minions) right behind his Galleys (not in range to hit). I assume I'll lose it, but have decent odds of taking out one of his SoLs in the process and at least slow down his force.

I also upgraded 2 Triremes to Frigates in the north. Expensive, but I think it's owed after my greediness earlier. I'm pretty confident about the navy war up there; he mainly has Frigates and few transports (which haven't moved). I haven't started moving any navy through the canal though. His 11 Frigate force in the north went somewhere northeast into Gira's waters. Odd.

I'm transporting a few Muskets and an LBow to my southeastern island in case coldrain tries to push for it.

Good point! I think this is a small map but file changed for it to be "Standard", so I just made a Standard map and checked the yields. That matches what I had before, but if it checks actual map area, then I'll have even higher yields. Sweet.

T186 small update:

No war! We're safe! Xist turned around and might have just been trying to fake us out and force heavy whips or something. Xist started a GA a few turns ago and his GA GNP is massive. Rather than go to war, he might just ride this eco wave to take a lead after forcing my reaction. Solid play.

Phew. Now we have nothing to worry about.

Fuck.

You know where I don't have army? East side. Rifling finishes next turn and I'm moving all Knights and a handful Cho-ko-nu to the east. I do have ~3 Cannons over there and a few Cannons/Grenadiers finishing soon. coldrain could hit a city in 2T. Smash Up started a Cannon or Gren.

I'm splitting my navy roughly 50/25/25. 50% towards coldrain right now, 25% near xist's SW waters, 25% in northern waters.

I don't know enough about Coldrain to know if he is serious or not. SOME people (and its a low number) are willing to ally with someone who took cities off of them to help take down the leader. I've done this, BUT only after I get my cities back they took from me in war (which Coldrain hasn't gotten yet so I'm confused, but different people different).

Depending what he does you might be able to not whip your last bit of GA. Also, want to get back up to pop totals to do a round of drafting on some of those cities, before more SoL whipping. But just depends on situation.

He didn't DoW, maybe he was worried about my (defensive) buildup and was worried I'd hit him. His stack movements might just be defensive.
But his whipping, log out at turn roll, and extra Galleons he's adding to his southern force still concern me.

I want the pressure off of me. A coldrain DoW would be followed by xist a few turns later and I could lose a handful of cities.

So I sent him this:

If his navy moves away from me, it'll take me 9 turns to get my SoLs to the other side. I'll gladly DoW xist early to prevent the 2v1 against me.
