This is not something I'd considered. I think we should endeavor to find out together.

With a roomy map we should also use the "No Barb Cities" option, otherwise it will turn into a barb city capture race.

Hopefully the barbs don’t acquire three cities to lose with the “no barb cities option”

Pretty sure yes. I would expect any city losses to count against your limit.

Thanks Ref, that was quick! Now that our settings are finalized, can you roll us a player #1 so that we know our pick order for the reverse pick?

Bump on this. Can anyone roll us a turn order? Play order is Cornflakes > Yuri’s > Scooter > Commodore. We just need to know who plays first.

Does one of us need to hop into the German civ forum and roll our own random number with their built-in forum RNG?

Went to Random.org so as to give this RNG as much pomp as possible.

Results are:

Screenies have been posted to everyone's threads, and the current version of the World Builder save is attached (zipped) to my most-recent post in the lurker thread so that if no lurkers see anyting egregious and everyone makes their picks and is eager to get the game started, any lurker can edit the right info into the file and send it wherever it needs to go in case I'm not around. As mentioned, if the pick process takes more time, I may still play around with making the map look more natural (to my eyes) than the script does by default - or even make balance changes if other lurkers suggest them.

Or in other words: Scooter's up!
