PBEM 8: E-mail & Technical Issues

Will do, but we have to decide on them first.

I need mackoti's email & timezone and then we have everyone's data, so a turn order can be made. We also need to decide who goes first (randomly of course). Leaders also need to be picked before I can put them in.

I think we would keep the same settings as we had originally, which for reference is:

No Tech Trading
No Events
No Spies
No Contact until in-game contact
No WE (Ivory is up to the map maker's discretion)

Only option under discussion is AW, which is being voted on.

As I remember, the original game was no huts and barbs at map maker's discretion. I still agree with both of those, particularly the no huts. I will say I'm not a huge fan of barbs in a AW game, so if we go that route I'd support turning them off if others are like minded.

If AW then no barbs, I agree.
For huts and events: I would always rather turn them off then leave them on, especially in AW that can be kind of extremely unbalancing.

Just to let you know. I've a map done as far as I can go without knowing your preferences.

I would prefer if huts were left off. If it turns out that we'll be in AW then barbs should probably also be off.

We're just waiting for meatbalz and mackoti to chime in with their vote on AW and the map. After that I think we can get started on the snake pick. I've PMed both of them so we can get going.

i'd like to play plako's map. i'll go along with consensus on the rest, but would like huts off. am definitely not opposed to an AW game.

Ok, Mackoti was online today so hopefully he soon let us know that he is still in. For the votes:

AW:

no (1) Warriorknight

I would say that is a yes as mackoti brought the whole topic of AW up so he probably also wants to go for it. Though if you feel completely against it Warriorknight, we probably can go another route as well.

Barbs (if AW):

Off (3) Shoot the Moon, Serdoa, Warriorknight
On

I guess plako if it is AW then you can turn the barbs off

Huts, Events:

Off (4) Anyone except Mackoti

Shoot, meatbalz, if I've got you wrong for AW please say so. If not, then I guess plako can finish the map and as soon as Mackoti shows up we could start with the picks.
