PBEM10 Email Thread

I will be away next week Tuesday morning - Thursday noon around. If it stays as it is right now, I should be able to play my turn Tuesday morning (not sure because I might have to get up at 4 already) and then Thursday when I come home. So we probably lose only the turn on Wednesday.

hi guys, i just wanted to give everyone a heads-up i'm back in the US in my normal timezone. that means if i receive the save before 7:15am Eastern (12:15 UK time) i can play my turn before i leave for work in the morning - otherwise, i have to wait until i get back home from the office about 10hrs later.

i'm indifferent between the two, i just wanted to let you know we have the option of playing turns a bit faster if people want (and if they have the time to play their turns a bit earlier, of course) again, i really don't mind either way, i just wanted to mention it since i tend to hold the game up for several hours while i'm at work.

Hey, meatbalz, I think you might have uploaded the wrong save; I downloaded the game and it asked for Boudica's password, so...

Oh, and I wouldn't worry too much about trying to play the turn before leaving for work; the absolute earliest I can play on weekdays is around 4:30 pm EST [9:30 London] anyway, so the save would end up on somebody for ~10 hours regardless.

And don't forget, that the "Boudica password" problem can happen when you save the game twice.

This is totally off-topic, but anyone else starting to picture players as their leader heads from PBEM tracker? For example, when I read Serdoa's PBEM 7 thread I keep picturing a guy with a funny little goatee/beard/mustache thing and these massive eyebrows, it's getting to be distracting...

I'll have to go to Portugal starting this Sunday noon till probably Thursday next week. If some lurker would be up for doing some moves (not that I know what I am doing or anything) that would be great.
