I'd personally attack JC purely for tactical reasons. I'm not that fearful of a 2nd AI war declaration once I have a large army built, and especially since JC is the only AI that actually shares any real border and is therefore a tactical danger.

QFT
Regoarrarr thinks he's getting back on my good side since I complained to him that I was testy today due to making "market based management performance agreements" at work. Little does he know my rage will never be quenched from when he declined to play LoL with us because he "wasn't interested." :neenernee

Anyone playing Deity should read this thread. Post 19 in particular has some very valuable insights.

As for Suleiman, I could attack him, but the problem is (if you look at the minimap), I'd have to either go through JC or go through JC AND Zara (depending on which green is Suleiman and which is Zara). So his lands wouldn't really be useful to me
oh nm... for some reason I thought you said you got it in 375 BC... yeah 375 AD is about normal for deity.
I guess JC is OK, i'm just worried that the AP will give you the happiness penalty for "the world considers us a villain!"

very good advice there. Unconquered Sun is probably the best poster at CFC.

Yeah I did say 375 BC originally - I ninja edited it though

Definitely at least a limited war to take the two border Roman cities, and the engulfed city. That would leave you on the doorstep to Rome, which is just a godly city, with 2 gold, silk, marble, floodplains, and corn. Holy crap that's a nice city...

100% agree. And while it's been a few months since I've warred with high-level BtS AIs, I'd think you'd have a great chance (esp with a Medic III healer) to keep your army at home, DOW, maybe snipe that engulfed city, and wait for the enemy stack to appear. Kill it and then those border cities fall in like 3t. After that you may be able to vassal, or otherwise combine stacks and hit Rome and then vassal. Either way, pretty quick war.

Imagine how easy it would be to kill the AI units if they could only put one unit per tile (so no defensive protection), and if flatground had a defensive penalty, and if you were able to use ranged units to soften them up first.

Yeah, but that would just be crazy, Speaker.
