State of the Empire!!
- Turn 75 -
Aight, so game's been a bit dull after the war ended. Sure it's fun to see my once doomed empire now rise up, but where's the excitement?! Well, I assure you, if I see an opening to stir some shit up, I'll take it! That's pretty much my only chance to win, anyway. I've been trying to slowly drive Seifer's and Kyan's blocs in conflict.. I believe atm. that Seifer got atleast Malakai on his side, and Cull sure fears Kyan but I don't know if he wants to join up with those two. Kyan on the other hand has Strike/TT in his pocket. The biggest problem is that everyone seems to be pretty damned depressed by Kyan's might, so not sure if they'll even give it a shot. Or even want to, as far as I've seen Kyan's very good with diplo too. Anyway, if they do decide to do something about Kyan, I might say I'm gonna join in but a much better thing to do is to declare on either Strike/TT or Seifer and use the opportunity to catch up to Kyan.
Anyways, here's a recent dotmap and some city screens for your enjoyment.
I've also got space for like 3-4 cities in the southeast corner, and perhaps one more north of Phoenix depending on Seifer's city placement there ('least he told me I could claim land around the rivers). Blue dot is about to be planted.
Anima's been pumping out Settler + Buddhist Missionary combos and earlier on some workers (which it might switch to again if needed).
Shiva's built a granary and a worker post war. Will probably whip a worker here soon'ish since it's only got 4 improved tiles.
Alexander's pigs and copper are being improved atm, then the wheat. It'll be a good production and commerce hybrid.
Poor Phoenix only has one worker out there, I'm currently finishing up the road between Phoenix and Anima with it, waiting for the border pop so I can improve those cows. Should probably whip a worker here soon.
Here are the ah-so-depressing demos. I think I'm doing a pretty good job compared to RB2 considering that I was rushed early on by #1 military power while only having a warrior and a WC myself. Still got alot of catching up to do and looking at those pitiful numbers it looks like an impossible thing to accomplish, but let's check back after I've planted the rest of the cities and got them up and running. Afterall the others can't really expand much more without war, which in turn will slow them down.
Tech wise I researched Construction for cats, and now Feodalism for Longbows. I wasn't kidding about strengthening those defenses regardless of the NAP. Maybe I'm safe and would be better off teching something like Currency, but I really don't feel like taking another gambit after the failure that is early this game
