With our Deity succession game finishing up over at CivFanatics, I wanted to put out a last call for Civ5. I'm personally done with this game, no interest in starting up anything new. And there's been shockingly little interest in Civ5 over the past two weeks around here, given that the release of a flagship Civilization title was barely over a month ago. Nevertheless, I don't want to cut off the community from this game just because I don't like it personally. So if you want to see the appearance of Civ5 Epics/Adventures, go ahead and post in this thread. Hopefully we could then find someone (not me) to be in charge of organizing and running the events themselves.
Or, if no one is interested, we can focus on more Civ4 stuff. Whatever the community prefers.

Perhaps you should arrange and participate in another Civ4 Pitboss..
Anyway, in general, I prefer Civ4 stuff since my Civ5 interest died so much that I didn't even end up purchasing it.

Probably if and only if it was an AW CTON? And maybe not even then?

Agreed 100%.
Still, it is depressing how quickly most of us aren't interested in playing, either having not purchased it (myself), or having already grown tired of it (Krill and Sullla, at a minimum).

It's pretty sad really. Seems like this happens all too often with games I really like, that the successor is so disappointing. I always try to look at the games with an open mind, but a lot of the time i just don't like them.
I haven't even completed a Civ 5 game yet. Maybe some part of it is that my computer is a tad too slow for optimal performance, but that's not all of it. I actually kind of enjoy it, but I still like Civ 4 much much more, so I've just gradually stopped playing Civ 5 and concentrated on playing more Civ 4, which is where I get most of my enjoyment. And I can't really spend time on playing both games regularly, even though there is a succession game i'm in that I will continue until it's done.
So I'm really not sure what the point of this post was, except to say that I probably won't participate in any more Civ 5 community games, not for now anyways while i'm still having much more fun with Civ 4 (and FFH2)

No opinion on Civ V, but some FFH games might be popular
But perhaps that's a topic for another thread.

If there were Civ5 epics/adventures I might do some, but my preferred "Civ community" activity has always been succession games.
In fact, I played Civ3 and Civ4 almost exclusively as succession games -- I don't think I ever finished a solo game of Civ4. Civ5 is the first version of Civ that I really enjoy as a solo game.

I have zero interest in Civ V. By the end of your Deity SG, I was bored at even reading about the game any longer. And I barely have any interest in the RB2 SG I am in.
Casting diplomacy to the wind, in a word, I think the game sucks.

I'm done with Civ 5 as soon as the succession games I'm in finish. At the current glacial pace of RB1, that should be just in time for Civ 6 .

Seems like it's just you, me and sunrise left for it. Does anyone actually want to continue? I mean I don't mind at all, and if everyone wants to continue I definitely will, no problem at all. But tbh I'd rather focus on Civ 4 and FFH2 in particular.

Gotta finish RB1...that's not an option. I would love to get some subs here that are willing to put the time in though.
