I might go ahead and do that. What initially concerned me was not the ping, but rather the fact that if the Americans play in the evening it is already night here. And the time of my life where I spent my nights playing games is, some might say sadly, over.

I often play at weird times, for me at least the main difference I've noticed is that it takes 30- 45 seconds to find a game instead of 15 or 20.

That was initially a worry to me when I started too, but there's quite a few of us euro's on nowadays.

Yup. I typically log on about 8pm UK time, and there's usually a mix of Euros and early-bird Yanks around then

I have created a secondary US account too, I'll add you guys in the next few days. I bought Vlad and Kog'Maw so far.
However, my ping of around 230 is quite noticable compared to ~50 on the EU servers. Then again I noticed that the US server is full of international people, in my last game I had people from Poland and Thailand on my team.

I went from EU to NA without noticing any difference in gameplay despite much higher ping so that's not an issue as far as I'm concerned.
The only real setback with the NA server for europeans is that maintenance occur during the day rather than at night, which may not even affect you.

I'm from EU and am playing on the North American server as well, and it's entirely playable. I have 250ish ping too. The delay is noticeable for me, when I compare to the near instant actions in others' recorded videos for example. I think skill shots and other actions that rely on timing might suffer especially.
My summoner name is Meciflorean, I'll add all of you eventually, just getting my bearings in the game.
I practiced jungling with Fiddlesticks yesterday, and it was very hard to consistently kill dragon like the guide I followed did. It seems like my lack of runes and masteries just won't allow me to do it for now. Oh well.

The skill level spread in this game is nuts.
Seifer, Bright Side and myself played a 3 v 3 last night got outslayed probably 10-30 in a loss.
And then the next game none of us even died the whole game. So bizarre.
In most of the games I played last night, the three of us did really well in the laning phase and were probably slightly ahead going into the mid-game, but then none of really knew how to organize the team for victory, and we ended up falling behind and getting run over. I could definitely benefit from some play time with a skilled "coach" on teamspeak.

So is anyone planning on getting the new champ? Seems like she has some interesting possibilities in her spells.

Did all three of you have mics? I'll reiterate: I know not everyone has $10 to spare for a mic, but it's a huge HUGE improvement to have one. One person mic'd up is sort of fine if it's a team captain with excellent map awareness, but if I'm on a team with a mic it does little good other than apologizing for noobing it up. When everyone has mics though it allows much faster discussion, coordination, and map alerts.
