Thanks for your detailed and pictured reports
PS: Does Statue of Zeus not only effect those attacking the Statue-owner? So TT and ad_hoc shouldn't feel it.

If you are so paranoid about your iron city, maybe whipping a city wall might be a good investment.
Of course considering the production, it might compete with building more troops, so I let the MM masters telling you at which point you should swap...

Thanks for reading them! And yeah, I have since found out that it only affects wars with Serdoa, which makes it pretty lame.

Problem is, ATM it will help the city more to build more modern troops, in addition to the fact that whipping Walls now might not ever help at all if Cyneheard attacks after Gunpowder. If I know he's coming, I might consider it, but certainly not right now.
Speaking of Cyneheard...
Cyneheard Wrote:Just so you aren't completely surprised/have a chance to think about what you may want to do: I have been informed (and some of you may have seen by now) that there is a proposed AP resolution to end the war between Ad Hoc and TT. As of last turn, there were Greek troops in Sumerian territory that would be kicked out in the event of a HinduPapal Edict ending this war.
Cyneheard
Well, well, well, this is most interesting indeed. TT can pass literally anything he wants to, at least if the last vote was any indication, so my vote is going to be purely symbolic. I'm still undecided about what to do; I DO want peace between the two [I don't want a run-away Ad Hoc!], but I don't want to lose diplo points with the "Battle King" or whatever he's calling himself. I'll probably just abstain again.
...and did you get the post title? Sorry, I just can't help myself!

Best to stick as non-commital until you have chosen sides i agree. and your Title is............ witty (he is refering to an Apple Advert slogan for the iPhones for those that missed the referance: "Want to find [X], there`s an App for that" [X] being anything from a cook book to where you parked your car.)
Temple of Zeus is lame, Yes, However Dantski Showed in PB2 how crippling the effect can get to if a war drags on for any length of time so it is worth bearing in mind for any future war thoughts in his direction. (ether have a damn strong Economy or an Alpha Strike ready ontop of the offending City)

Alright, we agree on this one, Adlain. Abstain.

You mean like a sudden attack from the ocean, with say, East Indiamen?! Mean, despite my bitching about the map earlier, it being in an archipelago-style layout is might really work out for me.
As to the actual turn... not much else happens. We got Compass, as is clear from the screenshot.
And yet, I can't just wait a whole day to report and then give off this mediocre thing! So... time for some ROLE-PLAYING!

Unfortunately, the game's moving pretty slow ATM. I played another turn, but there really was not a lot going on to report on... I've had to waste my time writing up all my thoughts for PBEM11 [oh man, just wait, I've got 2 or 3 posts all queued up already, it's going to be awesimz!].
AP resolution is still waiting to resolve, since Cyneheard and Serdoa only voted on it this turn.
A lot of my mainland cities physically cannot work any more commerce tiles, so I'm building libraries in order to run specialists.
Great Engineer due in 5 turns.
Meatbalz's power is growing alarmingly, it passed mine last turn. Since he has not been doing diplo with me [I understand he's pretty busy], I'll just have to sit in stony-cold silence.
Proof Civ 4's scoring system is horrible: I'm still in the lead. :

So I'm thinking: Churchill of America! Look at the synergy! I can turtle in one city with City Garrison II archers, until I reach Industrialism and go on a Navy Seal rampage! It's foolproof! :D
What do you think, guys?!

I'm wondering if you can somehow round off that top pick by building a herbalist aswell
