First game I've seen where someone moved off the starting tile. It looks like it worked well for you though - that ending shot of Berlin's commerce was impressive.
Losing the Pyramids by one turn at that ridiculously late date was priceless.
Very nice report, I especially liked the use of arrows on the replay screens. Thanks!

I played a (Warlords - FWIW) game recently where I configured my Capital for pure Production with my second city as Commerce centre, and was very disappointed with the results. The lack of tech accelleration from Bureaucracy I felt really hurt me, and so now I tend to configure my Capital for Commerce and look for a production centre for my first Settler.

Well my original plan was for Gandhi to build it and then I'd take it from him, but by the time it had become clear he'd rather tithe me his Settlers to work for me, I'd just discovered CoL and prioritised Chitchen Itza for the extra defense (which I was glad of a couple of times at Delhi, and at Medina). Then I just figured I'd be too late and someone else would complete it a couple of turns into production so I forgot about it for a while, before finally realising it was still available and ending up losing by a turn. Saladin was only in Representation for a few turns though!

Thanks for the kind words! As for the arrows, I believe I got the idea from ... um ... one of your reports!

I only remember one in a city (Toku "reinforced" Osaka's Spear with one the turn before I attacked), most were sent out by the AI with 1-2Archers escort. Gandhi repeatedly tried to slip them past my Axes outside Bombay, and then Peter/Saladin tried to bypass Delhi for the Gems a couple of times before I planted my own city there. Then they were sending them out to the North of the Desert where I'd cleared a buffer zone.
I was very disappointed with that TBH, since they could have been investing in troops or Wonders to try and combat me....
