Important stuff over on the alliance forums

I know most people don't view the alliance forums and don't have any real interest to do so. However, there are a few things going on over there that you should be aware of.

First off, a new guild, Order of the Mursaat, has applied for membership, thread here. You should check it out and check them out to see if you think they'd be a good fit with the alliance and to cast your vote (when/if the poll shows up).

For these next 2, you'll need to sign up on the alliance forums and get permission (post here) to access them before you can view/participate.

Secondly, there's discussion now of restructuring the alliance so that there are officers to handle most of the issues that come about. Discussion Thread. If it goes through it'll wind up requiring 2 members (number not set yet) from each guild to participate. This is an important topic of discussion, so you're urged to weigh in.

Finally, there's another discussion going on about having a monthly alliance event similar to the Deep Day and Sorrow's Furnace event. Discussion Thread.

I think it's important for people to get more involved in this stuff and I'll most likely be bringing it up on guild chat every now and then.

Yeah, I visit their forums from time to time and vote on the new guilds if I've looked into them. I've also seen the new discussions popping up. I just tend not to post over there.

I just created my account over here and will do the same on the Alliance Forum. Depending on the size of the threads i will start reading it this evening or maybe on tuesday evening.

OK, so the other guilds seem to agree in making a committee to help plan things and such for the alliance and Frost is ready to create a forum for them to discuss stuff...so the question is going to be who is representing RB?

I nominate wyrm and seijin, since you two are the ones seemingly most interested (more interested than I) in the alliance stuff.

One of the representatives is supposed to be the guild leader, so KoP is going to find himself "elected" no matter what.

Wyrm would be an excellent representative - he's online a lot, and is much more "plugged in" to the goings on than many of us. He has the most Alliance (and other) acquaintances outside the guild.

Is there some reason we need to cast a vote or something? It's obvious that Wyrm is by far the first pick here for this role. (Heck, it was his idea, sortof.)

I think the whole guild leader is an automatic member thing is negotiable, so don't think y'all can get out of this that easily.

Yea, it was only a couple of people saying it should be a leader +1, nothing set in stone.

I think, for what this committee is intended for (to organize and promote alliance-wide events), someone with more time and interest than myself would be better candidates. I second the motion to have Wyrm and Seijin and Hawkmoon be our reps - and everyone else take some turns Of course I will go too if you twist my arm...

Hmm, I don't think we need to vote on this, just let Wyrm and Seijin rep for now (if they accept the appointment), and whoever else can make the time and want to participate can take some turns, or be a backup if one of the rep can't make it.

Are you suggesting there's some correlation between getting to know you and deserting ZoS?
